Frank Visser
Gents, Building one of the sweet memories that I have from mine childhood. Living close to Soesterberg air base and when I was not at school I take the bike and went towards the airfield. After all those years I decided to build an F-4E. Kit is the Revell offering, kit is buildt from the box with some minor detailing in the pit. For the rest it is just a matter of preshading, postshading and a wash. Look at the pics and judge for yourself. Go easy with me, it's the first time that show my work overhere. Just trying to work on my whethering skills Next thing to do is put on some decals. CR tailcode and the AirDoc data sheet are in the house. Till next time Frank
Viper01
Nice looking Phantom you got there! Always great to see a Soesterberg Phantom! Preshading came out great! How was building this kit? I've got a F-4F 1/32 from revell waiting to be build. I've got a list with all mods the kit needs to reasamble the real thing. Remy..

Frank Visser
Viper01, compared to the Tamiya offering the revell has some shortcommings. Intakes are incorrect and some other minor things. On the other hand Tamiya also has some things wrong. Just a matter of a price tag and willing to pay for it. The kit is not difficult to built, so just do it. Frank

Santtu Pikkarainen
Nice! I remember standing hours on the spottershill waiting for the planes to come. Sadly it was the time when the Wolfhounds already flew with Eagles. Best memory: a Phantom aproaching with the RIO waving at the spotters. Great times.... On my bicycle from Ermelo to Soesterberg. Nice build, great subject! Edited November 1, 2012 by Santtu Pikkarainen
