11bee
Hi Klaus, Can't wait to see how you make out with those exhausts. I wouldn't even know where to start with regard to scratchbuilding them. If these work out, how about banging out a set of the new upturned Apache exhausts? I'd be the first in line to purchase a set. Keep up the great work, John
Avus
Will do, Oliver! One thing, John: I DON'T DO APACHES! Just kidding, but one thing at the time. First let's see how these exhausts turn out, as you say, and how my mental sanity will be afterwards, then we can talk Apache.
Floyd S. Werner, Jr.
One thing, John: I DON'T DO APACHES! I love you man. LOL

shark 64
Second that request. UPDATE. UPDATE....PLEEESASE Oliver
Avus
Ok, ok! Here ya go! No update on the exhaust; this WE I felt more like scoop and TSU: Another little surgery (more like a slaughter) and a dry fit. While the scoop is done the TSU needs a little more TLC. As for the turned exhaust let's just say there's a synergy ... Since I'm already doing some heavy conversions, I might even work on a correct canopy or am I overdoing?! In Hollywood Stunt world they always say"GO BIG OR GO HOME". I guess the correct canopy is calling your name. Oliver
pbishop
I was about to say you've got too many seats there for a 2-seat bird... but then I remembered you're doing 2 cobras! Its the new cobra family sedan, fits 4 and has a built in dvd player for those long trips, lol. Nice build, will be watching for sure.
twong
Rear scoop is looking good. Waiting for those turned exhausts.

Avus
Thanks Oliver, pbishop, twong and Dan! Canopy it shall be, then! ... just don't know where to start and how to make copies once it's done ... ... now I could also think of correcting the panels behind the pit ... Oh, why can't I just build ONE model right out of the box?! Edited November 9, 2009 by Avus
blackhawk7
Oh, why can't I just build ONE model right out of the box?! Unfortunatly, once you cross to the darkside... it's hard to go back BTW, looking good! Tom
Intruder_bass
Unfortunatly, once you cross to the darkside... it's hard to go back :) BTW, looking good! Tom This is so true Avus I can make multiple copies for you if you want. Andy
norbert
Since I'm already doing some heavy conversions, I might even work on a correct canopy or am I overdoing?! It's a nice idea Avus, nobody tried it before so far I know. Do not forget I have 2 of theses not so deep in my stash Norbert
doupnik
Klau +1 on the go big. I seem to remember that someone had started 35th scale turned exhausts, if only I could find the pics. My main computer is down for a little bit so I thought I'd post a couple pics of the turned exhaust on the Z, they should be very similar. mason Edited November 19, 2009 by doupnik
shark 64
Hi Klaus. I agree too sometimes "out of the box" builds are nice. However as Blackhawk 7 says once your crossed to the dark side there is no turning back......FEEL THE FORCE KLAUS. Oliver
Avus
I can feel the force growing stronger in me, Oli-Ver Kenobi! Ok, let's get back to the real world (more or less). Not only that, Tom, but modifcations or conversions come in cascade: they start with "just a scoop" and end up with "turned exhaust and new canopy"! Thanks for the offer Andy, I'll get back to you as soon as I have something. Mason thanks for the pictures ... but ... wait a second! Who are you fooling! There's a UH-1Y mixed up in there! Well, the exhaust looks the same. It was SuperCobra who made the turned exhausts; here are some pictures. I wanted to finish these two for January, but considreing all the conversions you guys talked me into, I'm afraid I won't be possible ... who cares, they'll be done for Febraury or March or April ... So, Norbert, don't hold your breath on the modified canopies! Edited November 10, 2009 by Avus
