Helidriver
Awesome....now I can build the machine I did my first solo in...the mighty Schweizer. Loved flying that little helicopter....it was like a happy little dog wagging its tail all the way home...however slowly...
Cobrahistorian
Or an OH-23! I'm gonna have to break the piggy bank. A pilot I used to work with owned one of these. Now, if we could just get a Hiller H-12. Randie
grandadjohn
My best friend was killed flying one of those in flight school at Ft. Wolther in Sept
flarpen
Hi Is there any progress being made on this kit? //Johan
troschi
Stepan from Profiline changed his subjects and now concentrates on 1/16 Tank upgrade sets. IHMO I wouldn't expect this model ever to be released to soon. But a little hope is still there with other czech manufacturers...
Tank
Hi Is there any progress being made on this kit? //Johan No, Profiline is gone. I don't recall who if anyone picked up the MD-500 molds that were made. Who knows what state this was before they folded.
Loach Driver
I read that MPM might have picked up the 500 line but I'm not sure about the Hughes 300. LD.
flarpen
That's to bad. Was really looking forward for this kit. Hope someone (MPM)can pick up where profiline left off.
Sarathi S.
Whatever happened to the proposed MH-6 and AH-6 from Profiline in 1/72?
Spiff
Hi together, Here some shots from my MD-520N ProfiLine in 1:72. I finished just a day ago. It's the Bird we use for TV productions and Powerline inspections, in the company I work for. The decals are home made, and I did some modifications on the Notar Intake, Jet truster, Flightcontrols and all the camera stuff. Regards from Switzerland Spiff Here the Link from the Build, but it's in german: http://www.modellbaufreunde.ch/index.php?topic=3411.
Tank
Very nice Spiff, that was the only one I didn't get. I wish Profiline helo products continued to release the all the versions in 1/48 scale.
GeejeeZ
Very nice Spiff, that was the only one I didn't get. I wish Profiline helo products continued to release the all the versions in 1/48 scale. Same here! I encountered too many fit problems to finish my Profiline 1:72 500's. What made it even more frustrating was the fact that the overall dimensions on the kits looked alright. Therefore, a release of these kits in 1:48 would have been perfect... Gertjan BTW: Awesome job on your 520N there Spiff!!! Edited February 14, 2012 by GeejeeZ
Loach Driver
Hi Spiff. You did a really nice job on the MD520N. It's the first one I've seen built up. Any chance you can post a few photos of the other 500 sitting in the background of your photos? Thanks. LD.
Spiff
Hi Loach Driver, here some pictures from my AZModel 500D, aswell in 1:72. Kind Regards Spiff
Loach Driver
Thanks for posting up those photos of your 500D. There isn't much room to work in in that engine bay but it has turned out nicely. LD.
K5054NZ
Now that the Profiline 1/72 kits have been released by Special Hooby what chances are there that they also got the info for the 269/300 and will release it eventually?
Tank
Maybe, I think it depends on how SH got the molds. Did they buy the existing molds from Stepan or did they get them from someone else? Unfortunately I doubt we will ever know unless Stepan comes back or SH tells us but I don't realistically see either happening, would like to be proven wrong. Since we haven't seen any molds for the 269, outside of Stepan who knows what state that project was in when the doors closed. Hopefully one will show up sooner then later.
