KursadA
CD48068 will be a 1/48 sheet scale covering the OV-10 Bronco in USAF, USN, USMC and international service. I am still working on the designs, I will post some profiles as soon as I am done with the F-101A/C sheets. There will be various USAF schemes, Black Ponies, at least a couple Marine units, latest Venezuelan and Colombian schemes as well. gonzalo
Is there a new 1/48 Bronco coming out or is this for the Testors kit?
KursadA
Is there a new 1/48 Bronco coming out or is this for the Testors kit? Thanks for asking, so let me clarify: There is a new 1/48 OV-10 Bronco kit coming; and I am releasing these sheets in anticipation of those. However, none of the markings I chose have any elements that are dependent on the shape or size of a particular kit part. I am designing them to accurate scale plans and drawings, and they should fit any kit that is dimensionally accurate (which the Hawk/Testors kit generally is). I don't see any need to wait for the new kit (unlike for example the KH F-101A/C kit, which I had to wait for to ensure that the full-tail markings would fit).
rustywelder
I know I'm a bit of broken record with this. But will you be scaling these down to fit the Academy 1/72 kits. And are you doing A's and D's or just A models. Edited May 29, 2014 by rustywelder

KursadA
1/72 is certainly doable. But there are so many things waiting in the 1/72 pipeline that it would be hard to commit to a date. I have drawn mostly OV-10A markings at this point. There does not seem to be much variety in USMC OV-10D markings so it won't take much time to add them. I like the Venezuelan upgrades as well, but don't think too many people will want to deal with the new propellers and other changes. The emphasis will be on US markings; with a few international options sprinkled in. Edited May 29, 2014 by KursadA
Ben Brown
Now here's a dilemma. Sell my Testors/Paragon OV-10A set and hope it's not Kitty Hawk who is doing a new 1/48 OV-10 or keep it and avoid fixing another KH kit.... Regardless, looking forward to some gray Vietnam-ear USAF OV-10A decals! tobiK
Well, Ben, I still keep my Testors kit and all the Paragon stuff. Remember that Paragon is out of bussiness. Nobody knows now how the upcoming kit will be. My taste is the three-tone camo of the Marines (grey, green, black).
skyhawk174
This is great news Kursad. I know Cutting Edge produced an OV-10 sheet that had some nice schemes on it and on Ebay it goes for crazy money. However if I can put in a vote for OV-10D schemes, especially the multi-brown camo, I would be a happy modeller. Also, there was a 1/32nd Bronco announced by KH I think but I had not heard about the 1/48th version. Hopefully it is nice. Like others, I have the Testors and Paragon conversion so I am good to go in 1/48th.
KursadA
I am about to finish the layout of this sheet and will post more profiles soon. I tried to choose subjects without kit-dependent shapes; so this sheet should work on any dimensionally accurate 1/48 OV-10 Bronco kit likely to appear in the near future. I will also do a 1/32 version with a few options selected from this sheet - the new Kitty Hawk OV-10D looks nice, and I am sure a resin OV-10A nose will appear long before KH does an OV-10A boxing. Ben Brown
I'll take this one! Time to dig the Testors/Paragon box out of the stash. Thanks for doing these! :thumbsup:/> Ben Edited September 7, 2014 by Ben Brown
skyhawk174
Hmmm a Venezuelan OV-10A would be great. I too have the Testors kit with Paragon conversion for both the A and D. Looking forward to these decals Kursad. Thanks for doing them. Edited September 9, 2014 by skyhawk174
jochemp
Colombian Bronco I'd be happy to get one set! Yeeehaaah!
KursadA
A few more options from this upcoming sheet. The first sheet will have at least 10 options, so there should be something for everyone.
mungo1974
Where were the 'WH' Bronco's from?....memory has gone blank. How about a Misty FAC from Shaw?
KursadA
Where were the 'WH' Bronco's from?....memory has gone blank. 22nd TASS flew out of Wheeler AFB in Hawaii. How about a Misty FAC from Shaw? It is one of the options - I have not had a chance to prepare the Euro 1 camouflage profile base yet.

AnthonyWan
You may have to scale this up to 1/32..... ;)
KursadA
You may have to scale this up to 1/32..... ;)/>/> That was part of the plan from the very beginning - I will have a 1/32 OV-10 sheet soon after the kit is available, and mine will have a few OV-10A options even though the OV-10A boxing will not be available for at least a few months. I bet someone will have a resin 1/32 OV-10A nose soon, and if not I will fund the development of a resin OV-10A nose and offer it myself. Air one
Hi! Any chance that to go with the Colombian bird, you add the OV-10G++ tested last year by the Navy? (And issue 4 blade propeller?)
KursadA
I am finishing this sheet after tonight's regular order packing/shipping session. Expect to see the draft final design posted sometime later today - just need a couple Black Ponies design elements to size and lay out on the sheet.
