Crazy Snap Captain
Some of the most beautiful art has been displayed on Tiger Meet aircraft or aircraft that are/were part of a Tiger themed squadron. From simple tiger heads on tail fins to all encompassing wrap around schemes, lets have fun making these beauties. Rules...simple... Any scale, any aircraft that has been part of any official Tiger Meet or a tiger themed squadron. You'd need to quote the aircraft and the meet it participated in and/or the squadron it was part of. Possibilities are endless. Here are some examples... Mirage 2000 Tornado F-15E F-16 A-7 Rafale Typhoon F-5 Huey Su-22 F-104 Hind Gripen Would leave Whiffers out of this one as the choice is pretty large. I'd be happy to mod and would gladly take on an experienced co-mod (this would be my first one). If we get up I'll also source out some prizes. Who's in? dnl42
Cool! I have Caracal 1/48 F-16 markings for Tiger Meet 2011!
Crazy Snap Captain
Nice! I plan on doing a Belgian viper and an HAF Corsair. Getting some momentum. Get in guys!
Els
I have several Tiger Meet kits in the stash that need to be built.
J Hammer
Wow! That Greek A7 looks amazing! Just saw that hobby boss has a 1/72 version of this aircraft. Has anyone put this kit together before? I read about the shape issues but was wondering if it was easy to build.
Bigasshammm
While I don't have any tiger craft to build I do enjoy them so a solid yes from me.
Check Six
How about the F-111 being part of the group build?
Don
How about the F-111 being part of the group build? I would think that the F-111 would qualify : http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/14354/79th_Fighter_Squadron_-_F-111E_-_NTM_1991.jpg http://www.fb-111a.net/TM/0245-32.jpg I may be in with a 1/72 German Tornado in either this scheme: http://321tigers.org/tiger_markings/4635.jpg Or this scheme: http://ipmsauckland.hobbyvista.com/Newsletter/1999/June/jun1.jpg But it depends on if a couple other GB's that I am interested in get the green light or not. Cheers!
phantom
I have done several 439 squadron Tigers, both Hornets and 3 of the Starfighters. Might do up a Rescue scheme Griffon with tiger stripes if I can find enough photo references.
Crazy Snap Captain
Some more tiger p0rn... Viper Entendard Hornet & Viper Fiat G-91 Edited August 1, 2014 by Crazy Snap Captain
ElectroSoldier
How about the F-111 being part of the group build? Would be rude not to include them, the 79th TFS held the first Tiger Meet, their E's always made an effort for all the years I remember, they were THEE Tiger squadron. 79th TFS 'Tigers'

HAF A-7, Belgian Viper and a Polish Su-22 (if I can find decals!). Is this the Su-22 you speak of? If so...I'd love to know if there are any decals for it out there... Crazy Snap Captain
Is this the Su-22 you speak of? If so...I'd love to know if there are any decals for it out there... That's the one. Not sure if decals exist. Quick search of EBay came up with nothing. Anyone know if these exist?
Crazy Snap Captain
Here's another pic of the Su-22 (image courtesy of www.lotnictwo.net). Please tell me someone makes decals for this.
plasticWerks_JL
I'd be in as well, depending on my free time. no clue what i'd build, but i'll find something fun! -JL
tobiK
I appreciate that you take the initiative to push that GB! After "Phantom's" questions about GB ideas the Tiger Meet proposal found a few positive reactions. So I will be in, ofc depending on my free time and job schedules. Decals and kits are enough in the stash!
Crazy Snap Captain
Guys, Brilliant! We're only one more participant from taking the proposal to the GB administrators. Speaking of which, once we have the 25 votes, how does one take the proposal to the admins and who are they?
dnl42
See this thread for instructions on getting the GB scheduled.
phantom
Looks to me like you have enough votes. Get in an application.
Crazy Snap Captain
We're on! I'll put the application in later today!
