Pep
What ever happened to the minicraft T-34 release? I had heard it was completely scraped, is this true? does anyone have any inside info?
KursadA
Tower Hobbies and other resellers still have it as a future release, and the company Web site still lists it. I am hopeful it will appear fairly soon.
Jennings
It's still featured prominently on their web site. Don't believe all the rumors you hear on the internet.
Pep
This was not on the internet. but i hope its still coming.
Paul Boyer
It took, what was it, five to ten years from announcement to release for Minicraft to issue the PBM Mariner? They'll need time.

Drifterdon
Anyone heard any scuttlebutt on this kits release date? I know it's still listed in on Minicraft's website as a coming attraction but no release date is listed. Same same with their 1/144 KC-135A. Zip nada nothing!
Jennings
As of a couple of months ago they hadn't even started doing basic research on it. That's directly from the guy in charge at Minicraft.
Paul Boyer
Sometimes manufacturers will send up a test balloon to gauge the market. I suspect this is the case here. That doesn't mean it will never show, but I wouldn't go clearing a space on your display shelves just yet.
sharkmouth
Well, there are some schemes I'd like to try on the kit, depending on the model: T-34A, Sue Parish's: Model B-45 (export designation for T-34A) from the Colombian Air Force: Regards,

Those are so cool. Never thought I'd see any kind of sharks mouth on the ole T-34. Thanks for sharing.
Jennings
I'm glad Sue is doing that to a T-34, and not the blasphemy she perpetrated on her P-40N that was painted up like that. Sickly, glossy Mary Kay pink on a P-40. Bleh!
K5054NZ
I'd never seen Sue's Mentor, that's pretty cool how it matches her P-40. I'm sure someone will build the pair!

Sickly, glossy Mary Kay pink on a P-40. Bleh! Looks like the poor thing is embarrassed.
Rich in name only
Photo looks like Sue's first T-34----fatal crash while loaned to someone. She got another one, now retired and hanging in the lobby of Kalamzoo-Battle Creek Intl Airport with her floatplane Aeronca. In closeup photo note detail differences in paint, especially at leading edge of wing root and tiger wing. Also, Sue looks younger--when she still flew P-40.
Rich in name only
And-----I'd get the kit, especially 1/48.
ikar
If you want, I'll check the vendors at our upcoming contest for the T-34.
Rich in name only
Sounds like you'll get a lot of bids for it if you find one! My Father flew the Chief of Naval Air Technical Training to Wichita (in R4D) for a meeting with Beech. Company said that as long as my Father was a Naval Aviator would he mind checking out the T-34 cockpit (don't know if mockup or what) and tell them what he thought from a pilot's perspective. Hope all the pilots found that they did a good job!
