Parabat
Perfect job! That does look incredibly realistic. How did you get the airbrakes to display the closing 'bolts' as the kit comes with smooth airbrakes. Did you scribe them or rob from an A-6A kit? One impressive model, it looks superb with the wings spread.
modelguy2
Check again they are on there, at least on the A-6e kit I used. I built the tram as the parts are in that boxing as well. Getting the wings closed up was a chore.
BJ Blazkowicz
What a model! Amazing finish...Very realistic, weathered edges of panels. What you did to achieve this?
modelguy2
What a model! Amazing finish...Very realistic, weathered edges of panels. What you did to achieve this? Some of it is paintwork and on top of that some chalk. Yes, chalk, not pigments or whatever they're called today :). I have 3 pieces of chalk that I've had for at least 20 years. They are each about 1/2" long now. They are black, brown and orange. I mixed a bit of the black and brown on some sandpaper and added it with a fine brush. Just a bit as it really darkens when you dull coat over it. The chalk probably cost me less than a dollar. Edited March 22, 2016 by modelguy2
