Floyd S. Werner, Jr.
I've had a build for a fellow law enforcement officer, now ex-law enforcement, but I said I'd do another build for him since the last one got 'damaged'. I'll be using the Fireball Modelworks update and the CMK interior on both kits. One will be with a medevac with stretchers on the interior and the other will be a Rucker training bird, I think. That one is for me. Let's see how we progress on this build. I'm starting on Monday. Floyd

hawkwrench
Cool, bring it on Floyd. I wish someone would make a EC-120 kit. Tim Edited June 19, 2016 by hawkwrench

Floyd S. Werner, Jr.
Just a small beginning. Seats and some minor work to get the interior together. So the kit, Eduard and CMK all have different sized instrument panels. Not sure which is more correct. The CMK is the smallest but has the most detail. We'll cross that bridge when we get to it. Trying to get the interior compartment done before I paint it. I'll have to work on the pictures and the focus. Floyd Test fitting
salvador001
Floyd, the CMK IP is the most authentic one. The Eduard is designed for the 212/UH-1N, so as the kit one. Keep on that great work, we want to see those Hueys. Rod.

anvil6
I'll have to work on the pictures and the focus. Floyd If your camera has a Macro function, then use that. That helps with extreme close up shots. If it doesn't, then you can work around that by stepping away from the subject, but then zooming in from afar. Also, if you press the shutter button down half-ways and hold on most cameras, it will focus without taking the shot. Then when you are focused on the part you are trying to shoot, you can move the camera to frame it better. I am not a professional photographer, but these tips help me. Hope they help you too! -Ramon :D
rotorwash
The other are right, Floyd. The CMK instrument panel is definitely the most accurate. The panel should be asymmetric with more on the right side than the left on a UH-1H. The 212 has a symmetrical panel. Here's an Army Aviatuion Heritage Foundation Huey showing the assymetric instrument panel. Ray
Floyd S. Werner, Jr.
Sorry it has been so long. I've been busy with work and trying to get the 1/32nd scale conversion of the AH-1F to market. Still some ways to go on that though. Since both of these aircraft were about the time the Army was going to NVGs I seem to remember them all be modified by the time I started flying them so I had to paint the CMK instrument panel black. There is some scratchbuilding but most of it is the CMK set. I did modify the pilot and copilot seat armor side plate. The medevac version. I'm not going to use these Esci stretchers. They painted up okay but I'm going to use some Werner's Wings stretchers when they come in from the casters. That is all for now. More in a few days. I hate dealing with photobucket but such is life. If you have any questions just ask. Floyd
salvador001
They look fantastic, i really like the stretchers and the single seat on the cabin. The painting is great too. Cant wait too see them all finished. Oh, and please give us an update of the AH-1F conversion. I want one. Rod.

DonSS3
You're off to a good start, Floyd. Any issues getting the CMK set to fit the Italeri plastic?
Floyd S. Werner, Jr.
You're off to a good start, Floyd. Any issues getting the CMK set to fit the Italeri plastic? So far no. I didn't add the pilot doors. They looked slightly smaller and that would have created more work than I was willing to put into this. The CMK instructions leave a little bit to be desired to be sure, but it seems to fit okay. The roof piece is slightly off for the cabin area but you won't even notice it under paint and if you do oh well. LOL Floyd

Floyd S. Werner, Jr.
Well the CMK resin top has been added and it is slightly smaller than the kit which will require me to fill all around it to build it up to fit the kit. I was just not up for that pain. I'll have to do it eventually. I owe it to the guy or I can wait for the later release. I'd hate to do that as I put so much work into this one.
