dnl42
Ray, Have you thought about a "Nothin' but Hueys!" Group Build? The last helicopter-focused GB looks to have been in '08.

Nope, only on the right side. You can see it in yellow on this HH-1H (70-2470) at Hill Aerospace Museum. Ray

rotorwash
Here's a good one. A beautiful former Flatiron UH-1H fitted with a boom mounted fire suppression system. From USAAM archives. I actually built this bird as one of my first Huey builds. Unfortunately I didn't have this ref showing the black nose at the time.

salvador001
Beautiful, but that Huey needs to be track and balanced, it has lots of vibration. Rod.

And I was impressed O.O about the stability about that bird my friend.. A friend of mine and me always joke about the vibration of the hueys... every time we fly during the anual parades our heads move like those bighead baseball figures you put on a car :) Edited April 25, 2017 by CharlieUH-1H
rotorwash
Here's a nice modeling subject. One fo the Orange door trainer UH-1Ds from Ft. Rucker. Photo is from the Army Aviation Museum archives and was most likely taken in the early 70s. Ray

hawkwrench
I just found this a little while ago. http://www.uer.ca/forum_showthread_archive.asp?fid=9&threadid=93566 It's a Huey graveyard with 3 Hueys sitting together in a field rotting away. One is a Rucker trainer, the 2nd is a VIP detachment bird and the 3rd looks like a white sands missle range UH-1. Such a sad ending to these 3 war veterans. If they could talk, I'm sure they'd have a good and decorated history to tell. Tim
BrittMac
Wish I had a couple Hueys in my backyard. There is even a Kiowa back there. Would like to hear the back story on that find.
