What is the USAF using for eletronic warfare?

Recommended Posts

I know that when the AF retired the EF-111 they cross cockpitted some AF WSOs to the EA-6B with the Navy.  Since the Prowler is now gone what is the AF using for their EW platform?

Haven't heard of the ec-37 before.  That's a new one.

Still in test phase, issues with cabin space.  L3 (?) picked the wrong airframe, IMO.

Maybe they count as citations maybe not, but from what my Dad in the Navy has said, and what my brother in the Army has said, (both retired) and what their fellow officers have said, such personality clashes are an eternal fundamental fact of military life and process, no citation needed.

The USAF uses the EA-18G Growler is their primary jammer. You wouldnt know it, but those aircraft are mostly flown by USAF people.  I know a former growler backseater, USMC officer, who flew quite a few missions off the boat with an Air Force guy behind the stick. The Navy owns them, but they rarely fly them themselves. Now I believe that the BLk 3 Hornets are going to be taking that role; they just started retiring Growlers recently.

USAF on board the Growlers? That's news to me. But, it is certainly a fact.
