pablo189
Hi guys, Nearly finished the Viper so I decided to make a start on this. Hasegawas quarter scale Skyhawks are amongst my favourite kits so I thought this GB would be a good reason to do one or maybe more having not built an M yet. I dug the two boxings below out of the stash along with the relevant decals. Not using any other aftermarket except perhaps a seat so I just need to pick a scheme now!! I've made a start, as usual, in the office; More soon, Gary

Rampage55
Brilliant detail painting. Very nice work. I'm a big fan of those 1/48 Hasegawa A-4 kits too. Semper Fi, Mark
jimz66
Great strart Pablo189. Great looking job on that cockpit.
model_madness
Pablo that cockpit is impressive! Can you tell us how you got the sidepanels so squarely painted and how you demarcated in between the different panels with lines? pablo189
Hi guys, MM, the consoles were painted with revell anthracite no.9 thinned with turps for a longer drying time. The moulding is nice and sharp and demarcates everything already. To get everything nice and straight I just used a 4/0 brush and lots of light. If you find you get the shakes or things turn out wobbly then try bracing your wrists against the edge of the bench and lay whatever you are painting on a box or similar (I use one of tamiyas paint stands) to raise it up to the level of your hand. This is where I'm at right now, Unusually for me I've painted the intake and compressor blades rather than adding covers later Pit complete barring the seat Assembly was a breeze, all of the joints fall on panel lines so there is very little to clean up Lots of little lumps and bumps added Should get some paint on today, Gary
Rasczak
man that cockpit is beautiful. I'm gonna have to try and imitate that on my next A-4.
