  1. Oops, missed that! They're just what I need... thanks again for the pics!! Tom
  2. Mid-air refuelling must be extra hard in the Saab, with the probe behind the pilot! Somebody obviously didn't think that idea though too well... Tom
  3. All your other builds have been exceptional... I'm sure this will be no different!! :) Is the Tomcat's wing going to be touching the water in order to hold it in place, or are you doing to use some kind of pole to mount it?? Tom
  4. Yay! More references :)... thanks for taking the pics Curt!! If you have any more, please add them too! If it is at all possible, would I be able to make a small request. I am in need of some more detailed pictures of the cabin roof (i.e. looking straight up + any boxes/ wiring etc.). If not, don't worry! Cheers, Tom
  5. Indeed! I hope they do get some form of funding or assistance for the production of a demonstrator model... however unlikely it may be! :) Interesting concept nonetheless! Tom
  6. HAHAHA!!! I saw that yesterday... but its still funny! I bet he regrets doing his 'dog impersonation'... Tom
  7. Here's a like to a video of the C-130 carrier trials in the 60's... Amazing that it can still land and take off unassisted with 13t of cargo onboard!! Tom
  8. Looking good Jon! Shame about the windscreen, though. Is that the Cobra Company set your using there?? Tom
  9. Thanks Oliver! I'll have to give it a go. Tom
  10. Also, here's a good walkaround gallery for current HH-60G's, courtesy of Curt (C130CrewChief) Tom
  11. As Gino and Klaus have said, the only major difference between the MH and HH-60G is the name. The current grey Pave Hawks with the external guns and ammo bins are all HH-60G's. As for the HH-60D, it was the forerunner/prototype/development model for the MH/HH-60G. The only major physical difference I am led to believe (aside from changes in various avionics, antennas etc. over the years) is that the -60D did not have HIRSS, whereas the the -60G does. Don't quote me on this, though, I'm not 100% sure Tom
  12. Looks great Floyd! I like the look of that stretcher! One question though, will you also be casting the medical equipment (i.e. the ECG + other monitors) that are at the front of the cabin?? Tom
  13. ;) :D Awesome work Oliver!! One question though, what kind of glue are you using? I noticed everything seems to stick very well but you don't have any messy glue edges/overspill between pieces (which I always get!). Cheers, Tom
  14. Nice work on the Super Hornet, Andrew! It turned out wonderfully :) An Aussie Rhino is next on my to-do list!! The fleet of the four generations of RAAF bomber is also impressive! Cheers, Tom
  15. I agree! You should post some more photos... it looks amazing! Do you have any in progress photos as well? Tom
  16. Sorry, no updates for the moment  I'm away for the next week or two, so you'll have to sit tight until then! I promise there will be some progress when I get back! Cheers, Tom
  17. That looks awesome! I wouldn't mind seeing some more pictures either ;) I am guessing from Gino's post that the SpecOps guys are Trumpeter's PMC figures, but who makes the crew you used in the helo?? Tom
  18. Cheers guys  Mid-semesters' have just finished so I'm going to be able to get a bit of work done! I have been working on finishing up the roof today - hopefully I'll have something worthwhile to show soon! That video was actually, in some ways, the insperation for this build. I was tossing up between this and another, but when I saw that vid I knew what I wanted to make! Awesome stuff the helo crew/PJ's do! Tom
  19. I thought I would relocate my in-progress thread over here to the Helo section, where most of the knowledge seems to be! If your interested, the original thread in the In-progress forum can be found here. From now on, I'll be posting the rest of the sloooow progress here. To start off, here's some shots of the cockpit. I've pretty much finished it, minus a few small details: And here's a picture of the final shape for the modified HIRSS. Still some puttying/sanding is still needed to get it to the right shape, but it gives you somewhat of an idea as to where it is going... Any c
  20. Ahh, the good old 'Wheelbarrow'! I got to see a Caribou perform that one time... very impressive stunt! Tom
  21. She looks awesome! You've done a great job, 40 years old and looks as mean as ever! ;) ...all it needs now is a Super Hornet next to it! :) Cheers, Tom
  22. Yeah, I've been looking for a set of the Nemord crew, but they are proving very had to track down I think someone needs to release a 1/35 set of HGU-56's with the face masks... it looks sooo cool! (*hint hint* to anyone ) Tom
  23. And they're here! RAAF F/A-18F Super Hornets Arrive I didn't make it out to Amberley to take some pictures of my own, but I did see the formation of x5 F/A-18F's, x4 F-111's and a Hawk fly overhead! Good sight! Tom
  24. Thanks Klaus! Luc, It's made from gauze (i.e medical bandage). I cut it to shape then superglued in into place (also covered the gauze itself in some superglue to made it hard). Once it had dried, I cut it to shape more accuratly with an #11 xacto and then lightly sanded it to remove the bits that were sticking up - and its ready for paintng! Tom EDIT: For anyone interested, I have moved this topic over to the Helo modelling forum... here
  25. Somebody wasn't thinking the day they designed the MiG29... lol Tom
