  1. Wow! Just what I was looking for, loads of info here! Thanks!
  2. 2018 is gonna be a decal-costly year. -first-world problems, right?
  3. What scale is this thing? For real? Just... wow.
  4. Wait. You do Phantoms too??? The kit description sounds VERY much like the Testors/Italeri F-4F/G/J release with raised panel lines. Hmmm? Nice build!
  5. Nice to see these kits getting shown! I've got a real soft spot for these ESCI/ERTL Phantoms, and yours looks like a nice one. Thanks!
  6. At the front (compressor) end? Specifically the P-107 engine in the FB-111A. My search-fu is fu-ed out.... Thanks! Scott
  7. For the truly brave, Testors included the City of Victorville markings in their 1/48th F-4F/F-4G kit. Also, here's Roger Jackson's F-4D build on MM, where he hits the stencilling challenge very well. Very clean build, along with great writing. Enjoy; http://modelingmadness.com/review/viet/jacksonf4d.htm
  8. Does this mean I get a free Tomcat? Or can I just wait until you release the F-111-series????
  9. Methinks they may have more up their sleeve..... I also noticed that the insert is on the same sprue as the upper fuselage, between the engines.
  10. Insert for different antennae offset - Left for early & FSD birds, Right for later. I'll double check in a bit.
  11. Aeromaster 48-374, If not the entire sheet I'll take it for that specific bird. -Scott
  12. Cutting Edge 48324, F-15I Ra’am conversion for Revell - $13 PM Sent
  13. Well said. Regarding the (horrible) panel lines, hasn't that tune been played on several other threads and releases over the past few years? All based on photographs, with much carping and hand-wringing until the kit is actually released.... Looking at my AMK Foxhound, those panel lines made a fine allowance for paint. Will they be as fine as the Tamiya kit? Don't know until it's in my sweaty little claws!
  14. But I've got bottles of OD stacked up around here!!! Thanks for pointing that out, I can use all the help I can get! That is one great write-up....
  15. Also, IIRC, the Combat Lancer birds had undersides painted OD green.
  16. You, Sir, are a mindreader... I would like to suggest 1 or 2 of the grey/white pre-production birds, and add that 63-9767 was all-metal, and 65-5704 was white/grey with a black radome. ANY Constant Guard V/Linebacker bird. 67-0094 Tail code NA, is interesting in that it dropped Mk-48s on Cambodian gunboats, sinking one, during the Mayaguez incident on 14 May '75. There was a gunboat kill marking added. On 16 June, it collided with 67-111 on a similar mission, and lost 4.5 feet of one wing. Unfortunately, 67-111 crashed. Disclaimer; all this from Don Log
  17. Usually the first thing I break off when the fondling starts!!
  18. Maybe stock up on Tamiya tape and Ibuprophen.... As for the color variation, I have a feeling more will be revealed.
  19. Thank you sir. Your efforts are very much appreciated!
  20. So... was a non-skid coating applied to the cockpit floor, or was it just the Int Green paint?
