  1. Frankly, one nice aspect of Prague is that it’s geographically smaller than one would expect. Nearly all the city can be seen on foot. The Palladium mall is not in the center, but to go from north side to south side of city is somewhere around 45 minutes of walking. East to west side takes a little longer. The shop near the Palladium is on a smaller, narrow street, tucked back away on the northeast side of the street. Again, can’t remember the name. When you’re at the hotel, just google for hobby shops and it’ll come up (assuming the shop hasn’t closed). It’s probably south or so
  2. There’s also a smaller shop near Palladium mall, but cannot remember the name. This also had RC and other hobbies (railroad etc). Worth a peek if you’re up that way, but MPM is much larger and focuses on plastic kits.
  3. MPM Models. Myslíkova 19 110 00 Prague Czech Republic Amazing store. Pretty good prices. I go there several times each time I visit Prague.
  4. Thank you everyone. So do these kit options at least fit together decently? Or must I wrestle it into submission? How are the italeri offerings?
  5. I have little experience with helicopter kits. Last one I built being Monogram UH-1 in early 90s. Whats the best fitting AH-1 kit to build? Accuracy and detail points count, but basically looking for general information. I’d like to have one on my shelf of a 2 blades version (S? W?). I am lost so any help is appreciated. Thanks!
  6. Yes. I’m no expert and someone can certainly correct me, but the FS numbers that are gloss begin with 1. The FS numbers that begin with 3 are flat. If Gull Gray has an FS number, then pick the 1xxxx for gloss.
  7. Is this set made for the Hasegawa kit? I have the Model Technologies F-16C PE cockpit set but not the superset.
  8. Those decals look amazing. Are all those options available in the box?
  9. Wow what a build! How did you manage the wing to fuselage join? I noticed there’s always a gap between the top of the wing and the fairing the wing is supposed to fill.
  10. Are there CG parts/options in any 1:48 kits by Hasegawa or Tamiya?
  11. Hasegawa kits are still nice; and can be found in a plethora of versions and blocks. For the C, Tamiya is king. Block 40/42, however, seems to be the most elusive. It all seems as easy as building a 50/52 until you realize you need the WAR HUD, the bigger wheels and gear doors, and other details. I’m not even sure a true CG could be built from any boxing of Hasegawa.
  12. As predicted: beautiful build. Very well done!
  13. I reserved 2 through victory models. When the kits come in and they tell me my order is ready my payment will go through and I’ll be one very happy camper.
  14. Still excited for this kit! Can’t wait.
  15. Because if you put in the effort required, the Hasegawa F-14s still turn into amazing models. Let’s not open up the effort required debate, but if you’re willing to do the work, they build up nicely. I say keep them. But ultimately it’s your choice. Don’t let us tell you what to do.

I think Boeing staggered the waist gun positions starting with the -40 models. Not positive but pretty confident.
  17. They seem quite reasonable on eBay. $23 or so.
  18. That tempts me to purchase a set. I’d like to know what we’re dealing with, fit wise. Aires or Brassin? I know which one I’d choose. Hopefully these don’t have any monstrous gaps.
  19. I’ll be the first to ask: how well do they fit?
  20. That will be most welcome. My trouble is trying to maintain the detail while filling and sanding.
  21. Wow, beautiful markings and finish in that! Darren, can you kind of elaborate a bit on how you handle Monograms F-4? Similar to the F-14 pdf you did some years ago for FSM, but the quick and dirty version. 😄 I love those Monogram phantoms but I have trouble cleaning the seam along the fuselage and not losing all the detail.
