Finished the twin cannons, a real PITA with what you get work with. I had to scratch a few bits, but should look the part when finished. John

The canopy is affixed, I used the Montex masks and sprayed the inner surface black. I did not like how the Montex masks adhered to the compound curves on the outer surfaces so I used the Montex sheet as a guide and Tamiya tape for the exterior surface. I used Mr. Dissolved Putty with a few drops of Mr. Surfacer 1500 Black to blend the frame to the fuselage. John

Back to the Revell Monogram Hind, fuselage is closed, Cobra Cockpit fitted. Re-scribing lost detail now and waiting for Futured Canopy to cure so it can be fitted and masked. Touching up the cockpits & finishing up this area next. John

That is a good book, I still have a 1st edition copy I bought in the 70's second hand. The pages are yellow but the b/w pics are good. That is a very good read for those interested in Me 109 combat from the German side. Worth seeking out! 👍 John

From his pod cast interview and the takeoff video, the 109 had to be a real handful of machine for a young pilot during late war. With the stress of combat looming and not having many hours like the experten it is easy to see why they lost so many to ground accidents. Very informative pod cast & video. John

If you have a Zengdenfu kit cut the ejection module and fit the Academy or Vacuum formed canopy. Cut the ejection crew module from the HobbyBoss kit and fit the new module in. Use a resin cockpit set and your modeling skills. An Academy crew module would work too but I got the Zeng kit for free. John

Well, the HB A-6 edges out the Kinetic A-6 so we will have to wait and see. John

They may have the original serial numbers, but I can assure you they have been rebuilt many times over. New structural parts when required, new sheet aluminum formed on original bucks as required, new busses for modern electronic systems. I know this because I work at the PDM facility. They will still be flying for another 25 years. Incredible :worship:/> John
