Scale modeling, specially WWII german planes in 1/72, modern jets in 1/72, cars in 1/24 and tanks in 1/35. Also like real cars, driving and car care. And as every modeler I know, I like rock´n roll, have a beer and watch historic videos about a theme.
  1. There is not, you have to look for reviews if it´s a new tooled kit or is it a rebox from another maker but it´s quite sure that Airfix is replacing their old kits.
  2. I´ve done it with kits I like very much but I´m not pleased with the results, pretty much old kits built years ago. Depending on the previews work it´s the mess you make and elbow grease you spend. Just take a look at this http://www.arcair.com/Gal12/11601-11700/gal11622-AC-130-Herrera/00.shtm Was worth the restoration!
  3. I´m also planning on building a Norm 81 Phantom, I already have the info on colors to use, but is there a reasonably equivalent in RLM and FS colors?
  4. I´d start with RAF Middlestone adding some yellow, maybe some light gray too. Cheers
  5. Several light layers is better than one heavy layer.
  6. You can use a little bit hand soap and then pass a damp cloth instead if you don´t have dish detergent and windex at hand. It will do the trick.
  7. wet sand with 1200-1500 paper and lightly rub the model
  8. Try some plastiline, always put weight on the nose just in case.
  9. Micro Sol/Set will work fine with Fightertown Decals. For everything else I use thinner.
  10. there are some mistakes with that kit, check references.

    B-26B Invader

Wow thanks for your replies guys, that´s just what I was looking for!
  12. Revell AG has something similar to Micro products that you can look for. But then again I use thinner to set my decals...

    B-26B Invader

Hi all, I´ve been searching for images about the B-26Bs that that took part on the early stages of the (US)Vietnam war but seems there is little info about them. I got the Revell 1/72 kit, but I don´t want to do the K version. What color were they? Natural metal finish or aircraft gray? Also did they carry VNAF or US markings(full livery or just on the fuselage)? I was also thinking in operation Mill Pond but that´ll mean all black and no markings. Any info or pics would be appreciated!
  14. UM Models, ICM, Zvesda, Tamiya, Airfix, Monogram (G-10), these are the ones I´d go for in 1/48. With a little work Hobbycraft-Academy will do or even Pegasus. If you are a rivet counter ill-fevered kind of guy then I suggest you buy a poster so you can have a look at it without regreting.
  15. That´s like attending a Playboy party and go asking everybody wich girl they like the most! Too many options and everybody is going to give a different answer, I recommend you to check the Jagdwaffe books and SAM Modellers datafile of the Bf-109. I´ve built 10 109Es so far and hope to build another 20!
