I have requested and received stencil & placard additions (the Banshee on his site is just one example) as well as correction to size and changes in numbers. Bill Burns is extremely helpful & customer orientated (like that sales jargon ?) I'm sure if you provided samples (understanding the limitation of the alps printer & scaling text down for smaller kits... I build 1/144) he will be willing to accomodate your needs.. cheers Bill TGH

http://cdn-www.airliners.net/photos/photos/7/3/8/0959837.jpg sorry, Alvin, just had to start this one over. 434 Sqdn had some of its CT-133 Silver Stars modified with a single piece front windscreen... 133579, 133571 & this beast, all just before they were phased out & sold. 133579 is in the US (Wisconsin - SilverJet LLc) 133571 has an owner in Kitchener but an odd US registration this beast will make a great dio (won't need much for decals) however, I can't find any details on the modifications. Does anyone know if these are spare windshields from the Boeing SKYFOX project ?

133571 seems to have the same canopy modification.... a few pages into this report on the last flypast for 434 out of Greenwood show a 3/4 shot of the SilverStar, and it looks to have a 1 piece front screen http://acam.ednet.ns.ca/newslet/may2002/may2002.pdf cheers Bill TGH

I found 133579 http://www.airport-data.com/aircraft/N433RD.html the FAA modification notes do not mention anything about the windscreen, but it is not a standard T-33 piece of kit. I don't think this bird was in Germany at all... was a colour bird for 434 in '93 (silver& black, city of Halifax ?) was in St Hubert (transit to Ottawa ?) in 98, was stored and then sold to Silverjet in 02. cheers Bill TGH PS Alvin, I missed this tread initially because it was so far in, but I saw your note lamenting Real Aircraft threads and followed up .... and thanks for an unusual pic...

I was just reading about this one, thinking of a Canadian Army what-if.... Scale Aviation Modeller International Vol 8 Issue 11 Page 1032.... artwork on US Army 0065 shows a nearly NATO standard (ie Sabre Mk6) of dark grey & dark green over light grey, with LOTS of day-glo & US Army titals in white.... looks different than Luftwaffe artwork & pictures.... differs from ex-Luftwaffe FAP ships as well.... :o Bill TGH

to be fair... I "borrowed" the idea from FLANKERMAN, Ken Duffy. His pics of museum bird in Russia have been a huge inspiration. thanks for the kind words... for a 3.00 kit it was loads of fun. Bill TGH
