Pete
Here's one from the 459th ARW at Andrews, taken at Volkel in the Netherlands last summer (Gotta get me a digital camera someday, and something to scare those people away when I want to take a picture.) Buck
Now that I'm back at home, I couldnt allow this thread to sink to the bottom. Here are a few of mine: Taken from another KC-135 during an R/T mission. Jeff Easily my favorite 135 image... The lighting is awesome!!! Great pics Jeff, glad you made it home in one piece. Hope you have a little time at home before going back into the bucket! Ahui hou :D Mark
Buck
This one above, for obvious reasons, is the rarest I've caught in this part of the world. Gary Aloha Gary, What's the date on the images? If it's taken at Mildenhall odds are I'm crew’n that bird! :D I've been extremely lucky to have been on all but one trip to the UK, the one I missed was before we had the big HH tail lettering (that was back in 96 I believe)... Love visiting the UK, always get de-patched by some of the Brits that recover our birds though. No problems, happy to take care of the patch collectors :D Great pics! Buck
Just want to add a couple of 135 images... Nothing spectacular especially compared to some of the amazing shots in this thread! Just a couple of 135's in "different" locations... Ahui hou <_< An overcast & dreary day on Iwo Jima The somewhat quite ramp in Phnom Penh, Cambodia

RotorheadTX
I saw two of them today, pretty rare at Austin/Bergstrom Intl. Airport; this one 80001, and 91480. I got chased off before I could get a shot of 91480, bummer. ;)
Hawkeye's Hobbies
I had one buzzing the house the other day...shooting touch n gos from KATW while awaiting IFR clearance to its final destination...home I presume. His call sign was -71 heavy.
F106A
Interesting story on Firebird. When i joined the USAF it was the Guard with that unit in Knoxville. She was still there with all their other E-models. (Dolly too!) The story is an Ohio Guard crew was flying 1425 in Desert Storm and something in the galley caught on fire. Lot's of smoke but no real damage as I recall. Anyway, I later transferred to the Ohio unit and one night I was briefing the crew and the pilot asked me where I was from. I told him I just transferred up from Tennessee and he asked, "Is Firebird still there?" Yes, I answered. Turned out he was flying her when she got her name! Nice photos of the Shamu schemes and the nose art. Of course they were long gone when I was in the unit. I'll have to dig out my old photos now! Mark
