king of the britains
You all may have your preferred brand, but if you’re like me and find using SG to be a pain in the a$$. Try Gorilla!!!!! It has a super strong hold and works very well as a filler. I find it to be very forgiving compared to the previous brands that I've used... I've also noticed that it stays somewhat pliable while drying/setting. It's not overtly thick nor is it a runny liquid... I haven’t put it to a true test yet, but-as long as you don't use accelerator-it appears to dry very clear so at some point, I'm going to try it on some instrument faces
nmRoberto
I use Gorilla glue as well. It doesn't set so fast that you get in trouble glueing things where they don't belong. However, it will glue your thumb to a wing..........from one who knows.
happy1
Best damn stuff I've ever used. Paul
Sebastian Haff
Doesn't it have a rubber additive or something that makes it more flexible as well?
happy1
Yup that's why it's so good. Broke my favorite cup glued it with gorilla super glue dropped it again broke the handle again almost in the same spot but the glue held where I first glued it plus not counting how many times it has been washed in the dish washer. ChippyWho
So far I've only seen the UK TV ads, ridiculously dubbed into a sort of Gor Blimey Guv'nah! 'English' (for our citizens who think spoken American sounds too much like Johnny Foreigner talk) -so will have to try it, naturally! :P
chukw
I love that stuff- did all the brass work on my IAR engine with it. Edited June 28, 2014 by chukw
habu2
Wow they are proud of this stuff - $5.99 at Hobby Lobby!
Joel_W
I found Gorilla CA glue at my local big box home improvement store. What a tremendous improvement over extra thin Zap A Gap. What's more, the tip never seems to clog, and stays relatively clean. Joel

cf18hornet
Would you guys recommend it to hold together my 1/72 Anigrand C-5 I'm going to build soon? Will it stand the test of time and not start weakening after a few years? Thanks
B2Blain
>>> This One <<< HTHs -Gregg Ok, bought some based on this thread. I've been using CA glue more on builds, specifically Loctite gel. Good on areas where I need a quick set or areas where I will be rescribing with a Hasegawa razor saw. One of the best things that I have learned to do. I didn't see this post and bought the original because I thought the super glue was like regular CA glue. Do I need to buy the CA product? I mainly am looking for a slower setting time. Thanks! Bob Beary
You want the Super Glue/CA type of Gorilla Glue. The regular GG is more for woodworking and semi porous materials. Bob
Jinxter13
I used it to attach PE to a canopy frame....NO PROBLEMS!!! no fogging and it's holding like it has vise grips on it; some suggested using future; I tried it, it didn't work for me. One mans glue is anothers goo.

RodRedline
How's it work for filling gaps? Has anyone tried that?
Joel_W
How's it work for filling gaps? Has anyone tried that? I still use Zap A Gap for small seams and gaps as it flows. Gorilla CA doesn't flow, you have to move it with a toothpick or needle, so I use it for deeper seams and gaps, till I feel I rather use Green Stuff. Joel
Janissary
Is Gorilla SG any different/better than Loctite range of SGs? Loctite has a variety of types (quick dry, long dry, flexy etc.). I have been using Loctite but now wonder if I am missing out on something better.
