  1. I take it most of the difference between each version denotes a different warhead then?
  2. Kinda reminds me of a deHavilland Caribou had a meeting with an ugly stick. And let's face it, the Caribou wasn't the greatest looker to start out with either!
  3. Sounds like you should've taken her to see Transformers too
  4. I highly doubt anybody would bother to make decals for someone's private BBJ, and even if they did that pattern seems a bit nigh intracate for decals. If you can get some really good shots (especially directly overhead and to the sides) you might be able to make your own stencils.
  5. YEE-HAW, they're finally doing DOGFIGHTS OF DESERT STORM! This was one of the "dream" episodes I said I wish they'd do in the other thread!
  6. Ditto goes for their EC-121 except for the added domes (which are moulded separately) as far as I can tell.
  7. Something something something too much. Something something something Family Guy.
  8. Ok, here's a stupid question, what's a recovery horn?
  9. Concorde #201, F-WTSB, now sitting in front of the Toulouse Airbus hangar (unfortunately in more mundane colors) http://www.concordesst.com/201.html
  10. The MiG is a -17. You can tell because of the three wing fences, increased wing sweepback, longer fuselage and trailing edge curved wingtips.
  11. From your sentiment it sounds like it was missing something. Perhaps it needed these guys (& gals): (from sniperUK's Ulster pics) (from Darius at Home's Duxford pics) All airshows would be Utterly Butterfly if they had...what does it say on the sides of their planes? Glasnots or something? /has very bad eyesight Oh well  Oh, and just to make sure this gets through clear, don't be so hard on yourself, they were great pics still...even without hot flying chicks in them
  12. You guys sure seem to be going to some really interesting airshows this year! B) *why didn't I see any of this when I went to the BJC open-house? *
  13. No no no no no...the Global Express and CRJ700 are not the same - completely different wing, engines and some other things. However, if you're trying to make a Sentient, it's actually the Global Express you want, I think. If you want a CRJ700, well, you'll, uh, need a CRJ700 (if you can't find a kit, converting the CRJ200 is still easier than scratchbuilding as all you would need to do is lengthen the fuselage and scratchbuild new wings).
  14. Totally different design in every aspect.
  15. No, now since Tweets are being scrapped too they're being recycled into... ...actually, the scrap metal from the Tweets is so potent, continued use of such material in warplanes has been deemed a violation of the Geneva convention, and therefore must be safely contained and stored
  16. I know a guy from the vicinity but he's on deployment.
  17. I'm just wondering if the scrap aluminum really does end up holding your beer or soda steady in your refrigerator - the guys at A.net (and Smithsonian Air & Space Mag, for that matter) say the alloys in aircraft metal are so high quality (and expensive) they strictly get recycled back into other aircraft.
  18. I assume that held true for the bicentennial scheme as well?
  19. On the other hand it doesn't look like Delta operated 737-400s either. USAir had both though: http://www.airliners.net/open.file?id=1228...next_id=1228613 http://www.airliners.net/open.file?id=0959...next_id=0921264
  20. If you're a stickler for accuracy, you could either go through the trouble of converting it to a -300 or buy the Delta 737-300 (hopefully it'll be the right plastic) and switch the decal sets.
  21. Quite possibly. The USAF bought a few in the late 40s/early 50s for B-29s and B-36s, possibly B-47s as well. It could also be a loading dummy for an early atom bomb.
  22. So let me guess, no Russians that day and the Tomcat crew just had to intercept something right?
  23. Well, I say this airshow just got veeeeery interesting indeed!
