  1. Breaddy-Stack, I may have misguided you...terminology might be the issue here, my fault sorry. Here you will find the proper pics of a NACES or Mk14 or SJU17A...or whatever who is calling what depends on their background...LOL. https://martin-baker.com/products/mk14-ejection-seat/ This is the parachute pack...lets call this the pillow top version of the early SJUs. This is the seat pack... This has essentially stayed the same. The Kinetic kit, is like a hybrid of a seat combining all the physical attributes of the early
  2. Sir, The Kinetic Hornets for the two releases I have built has the SJU-17 representation. Most of the current, if not all, Hornets are equipped with this seat. Early Hornets has the SJU-5/6, depending on the country and productions lines, the migration towards or initial install of the SJU- 9/10 (I know Canada and Australia each had different harnesses used) then onto the current SJU-17 seats was done over many years. So depending on what version you are building and for what country will determine the timeline you wish to depict what seat was in the cockpit.
  3. Simply beautiful, this makes me want to stop everything on my desk and start mine!! Cheers AFM
  4. LOL, That's awesome! Had a good laugh over that one! Cheers AFM
  5. Dai, I think that is so very close, not sure if it can be any better! Keep up the good work. If you need any more tech info let me know I have a couple books I reference. Cheers AFM
  6. Evening Gents, At AETE (2013-2016) we had 5 ac, 1 in AETE markings (White,Black and Red) and the remainder was in silver lacquer finish. As per the others, as you can see the evolution of finish on this aircraft greatly depended in the life cycle of the aircraft, the intended end life of specific airframes and where they were located. As Scooby suggested, select a particular airframe number (a couple back up choices couldn't hurt) and/or the time frame you wanted and then lets see if this group of Tutor lovers can help you with specifics. Cheers
  7. Afternoon, I hope this didn't stop on the count of the canopy crack. I was hoping to see what happened with the Krystal Klear approach. If you have not tried it yet, I suggest you try and the product will not damage the canopy any further. Then I suggest maybe a nice coating of Future (Pledge) floor wax. Again if the results are not good enough both products can be easily removed without harm to the original canopy. Have you tried to contact Trumpeter to see if they can offer a replacement or within the ARC forums under the The Spares Box or even the Buy, Sell trade section?
  8. Dai, maybe this will help. Note the "gap" from the trailing edge to the apex of the front of the fuselage. Cheers AFM
  9. Sir, Well done, you obviously meet your intent! That's a beautiful paint scheme and you did it justice! I too also bought it for the paint job and for the sheer size for comparison next to my Hornets...you have inspired me to get to mine soonest! Cheers AFM
  10. Some work to be done on the MLG and NLG. Enter the sandman...err..Eduard. I'll give some updates once I am done applying the PE! Cheers AFM
  11. Pre-ordered the A-10C sheet, thank you! Cheers AFM
  12. Alrighty...let do some MLG rigging!! Hopefully get to the aft doors tonight! Cheers AFM
  13. Started to weather and test fit major components, paving the way and standard for the remaining three kits. Trying some new products that I have not tried before, such as washes and filters, with some wet effects as well. Engine fitting.. Next MLG components. Cheers AFM
  14. I have stored Mr Color Surfacer 1500 with Mr Color Leveler for short periods. I usually pre mix a substantial amount for my planned use. But that's as far as I go typically, I would not think there would be an issue. I have thinned out a multiple amount of Gunze paints with Mr Color Leveler for extended periods of time, some reached about a year or so. Never had an issue (discolorations, opacity etc) with them either after a vigorous shaking. Cheers AFM
  15. I love the troubleshooting and the lengths and ingenuity to solve this issue. Well done sir. Cheers AFM
  16. Ohhh, looking forward to this one. I am very interested in this aircraft that led to the birth of the Zero. Who's markings will you be using, Saburo Sakai? Cheers AFM
  17. Your too kind, if you learned something, than it is all worthwhile. It's my payback to this community and the local IPMS club for teaching me so much. Cheers AFM
  18. All primed...Good enough for the girls I go out with - as my Uncle would say. First coat on...need another couple coats, but it's late. Comparison shot, with a good idea of the stages each are in. Until next time...Happy Modelling. Cheers AFM
  19. CA and Talc...this I heard of, but never gave it much thought fo ryears. But then..for some reason, it was rekindled in my brain, from reading some AK magazines...SO I thought I would give it a try when the next opportunity arose. Well, I did some more research on the use of it. Considering that Talc is becoming less and less readily avail on the market, I sought alternates. CA + Sodium bicarbonate = a chemical reaction that caused heat. No one reported a fire but depending on the mix ratio, there was some damage in some uses depending on a whole hockey sock full of factors. Not for me..
  20. That would be nice, I'll add it to the model... Cheers AFM
