  1. Wow, this thread is now more than one year old and there's still nothing on the market so far to build a recent "C" model. I just bought the new Revell 1/48 kit and it seems like I'll have to do all the differences by scratch... For the cockpit I will Use the Aires Set and cut the MFCDs from spare Hase Tomcat Cockpit-Panels. I'll also use the Litening Pod from Wolfpack, which comes with the pylon. The Mavericks will be used OoB while GBU-10/12/31/38 will be taken from the Hase Weapon Set. Gun will be made by scratch (not that it's different from the "A" to the "C", but it's looking butt-u
  2. Really superb looking! Wish I had the time to start with mine...
  3. Good to see that this seems to be an issue with the Aires Pit in general. I already thought I did something wrong when I noticed the large gap at the rear part. So far your work looks really outstanding! I wonder how much I will achieve on my first Hase-Cat.
  4. Looks really promising so far!! Got the same project on the table and will follow yours closely! Keep up the good work!
  5. Looks really stunning so far! Looking forward to what you will further show us! <_<
  6. This looks very promising so far! Will definetly keep an eye on your build!
  7. Great job man!!! First I only looked at the pictures in your Display-Case-Thread, but following this In-Progress-Thread simply let's me go
  8. Very nice group of Eagles ( and nice F-16 also)! Excellent work!

Great build! Very good paint job!
  10. Hey guys, thank you all for your kind words! This really rises the motivation for the next build!
  11. Excellent!!! Very much inspiring also!!! Just perfect!
  12. Great piece of work! Maybe the reduced reflections of a flat coat would let it look even more realistic. Well done!
  13. Great build!!! Using enamels myself, the time taken for the coatings to cure alone is way longer than 5 days... RESPECT!
  14. Wow!!! You know why I build 1/48? My fingers seem to be too fat for 1/72 and my house is too small for a collection of 1/32. Very well done!
  15. Great job!!! EDITED... Soccer sucks... <_< Go Oranje!!! The second one is from Leeuwarden AB right?
  16. TY gentlemen! About the weathering: The base is a standard airbrush paintjob (standard paint scheme + pre-/post-shading + gloss clear + decals + flat clear). Then I asked myself how I could achieve this look of several layers of dirt and sanded off paint and all that stuff that gives the navy birds their look. The first idea and try was a success! Lucky me... After the "standard paintjob" ( as described above) I made a mixture of water and watercolors (yap, those the children like to draw with). Initially I made it for washings, as I used enamel paints so I couldn't use oil-colors. I put t
  17. TY Jeff! Here's a link to a "In progress"-Thread. It's in german, but some might want to have a look at the pictures. http://modellbauer.foren-city.de/topic,118...103-fertig.html
  18. Thank you guys! I'm really glad you like it. Guess what: My next one will be a F-14B VF-103 LowVis... :) Finally it's some kind of Ed Hardy Effect... Many seem to like skulls... About the weathering technique: I need to look for some words to describe it. I will post it ASAP.
  19. As said before in this thread: Amazing camo-scheme and brilliant paint-job! "Thumbs up" man!!!
  20. Hey Brian, thank you! To be honest, this one was intended to be a practicing-kit, after the long time having not been into building. At the end I wondered how well it turned out, but then the decals were already on. I also didn't like the decals too much... My next projects will for sure come with some higher quality decals!
  21. Hey guys, after a break of roughly 20years, I come back to business with the Revell F/A-18F Super Hornet. Did some scratch-work with the wingtips, flaps, rudders and leading edges. Also applied some bombs from the Hasegawa weapon set "D". Decals were taken from SuperScale. Hope you like it! Here we go:
  22. Hey mate, is this "Two Bobs VF-103 Last of Tomcats Part 1 ($10)" a Hi-Vis or a Lo-Vis scheme? I need a Lo-Vis one. Everywhere one has been, it's sold out...
  23. Great to hear! Looking forward to that one!! I'M sure it's gonna be great! Btw: If you need some Detail-Pics and Close-Ups of the Flanker, drop me a PM and I'll send you my collection!
  24. Honestly, I really don't want to become the bad guy of this thread, but if you look at russian fighters they are way more worn out (except those with less than 100 flying hours). Your work is superb! I really wish mine would look like yours in the end. ... but it looks like you wether don't like the dirty look of russian aircraft or you've been afraid to ruin your work with some heavy weathering. I think I'll get back to you when I start building my Flanker!
