Nice work on an old kit. Matchbox was a 'little' off on most kits, but you made it look good. Nice job! DET1460

Nice Super Bug! Very weathered finish and nice presentation! Well done! Thanks for posting it! You stash Hornets... I stash Hasy F-111's. My favorite all-time kit! DET1460

I made 9 of these Fujimi 21's and enjoyed them all. I also used the True Details seats and they were actually very well done. The only problem I had with the Fujimi series was that they never made a true MF. Eduard has picked up the slack so that void is finally filled. You did a great job of it and the camo is very well done! Fun little kits and well worth the money. Thanks for the post and a great looking MiG! DET1460 PS... I still have three more in the stash!

I had a complete conversion with the Italeri kit. The DB nose fit perfectly. After acquiring the Zvesda kit I decided I would strip the original and use the parts on it, It will take some surgery and a little putty to get it to fit but I think the Zves will produce a much better outcome. Dave Buttress created it for the Italeri kit, so you'll have few problems fitting it Da SWO! Hope this helps, guys! DET1460

SOVA-M #14013 1/144 B-57E & CIM-10A BOMARC - In Box Review
DET1460 replied to Dutch's topic in Jet Modeling
Just a slight correction to the kit. It's actually a 'B' model '57. All the 'E' serials were 55-4XXX. (34XXX on the tail) Not a big deal, just thought those interested in the kit would like to know. DET1460 -

Hajo L Still trying to get the DB nose on the Zvesda Herc. That's going to be the hardest part of the conversion.. I'm finishing a Mach @ RB-57F right now and I have other projects in line, but I like the Zvesda kit very much. I wasn't a Herc mechanic overseas... I crewed the Patricia Lynn RB-57E's at Tan Son Nhut but we had lots of Hercs there. Saw one MC-130E CT Blackbird. The camou alone made a very impressive sight! Took a while to find someone who knew what it was! I'm sorry I took so long getting back to you! Been away from the PC for a while! Best regards,

Saw lots of camou'd Hercs during my time in SEA. But I really like the gloss grey variants with full color markings. Nice job with a very difficult kit. I'm in a SLOW process of converting a Zvezda C-130H into an MC-130E. Awesome job! DET1460

Oh my! How many superlatives can I come up with on these builds? Another beautiful, big Boeing. And my favorite 135 version. Awesome! All my best DET1460

What can I say... Another beautiful big Boeing! You keep amazing me with these builds! I'm with Dutch. More jealous each time! Great stuff... AGAIN! Always in awe, DET1460

Nice job. The camou reminds me of the later Air Guard greys. DET1460

Very nice '23. I like the finish and weathering very much. DET1460

You just keep amazing me! I REALLY like your work. Just keep these beautiful Boeings coming! DET1460

It's my understanding that Russian paint shops get drums of white paint and black paint and they simply mix the two (I assume they have a recipe) until the paint looks right. I built the Trump SU-24 that way. I liked the result... JMHO DET1460

Like I said... LOVE the big Boeings! And you keep doing them so well! Regards DET1460 -
But you do get the BRU's. Hasy was trying to sell their Weapon sets in those days. Almost all their kits came with very basic 'things under wings'. I shouda mentioned that... Thanks Dutch! DET1460

Rare to see a Rhino looking so good in that environment. Just from the paint shop or just in from the States. "Ain't that perdy!" DET1460

Ditto to mrvark. The 1/72nd Hasegawa kits are the best. The instructions in them have you put tanks on the wings regardless of the version you're building. No tanks on A's, D's or EF's. Great airplane! The reds were scared to death of the E's and F's based in England. JMHO DET1460

Love the big Boeings! And you did it proud... Very nicely done! Regards DET1460

Nice breakdown, Doc. That really says it all! Thanks DET1460

Two too many bombs on the inbd mer's. One on each. I'd expect problems with this kit. It also has open speed brakes... Only the EA-6A had operable speed brakes. Trumpy-Boss. Ich! JMHO DET1460

To fab-reims I'm saying that I'm older now, the hands and eyes just aren't what they used to be. You didn't put me off the project, I just know that that level of work is beyond my level of ability these days. Just my way of saying how very much impressed I am with your work, especially on this project. As hard as I try, I just can't build the way I used to. Do as much as you can while you can. That's what I'll do. Still... I love your depiction of this iconic aircraft. Got right under it and took lots of pictures at the Museum of the United States Air Force. If you ever c

I've had this kit since it came out. I was planning (someday0 to do this very thing. Now I know I'll never do it. Just can't make it this beautiful anymore. WOW! What a great effort you made here. I'm SOOOO envious.... DET1460

RF-4C's were nuclear capable but only one weapon and only on the center fuselage pylon, where the centerline tank was carried. I'm not sure if they ever carried these weapons operationally. I believe it was an option to be used in time of war... the kind of war no one wants to see! Hope this helps. DET1460
