  1. Yep, I didπŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ I've fixed it now though, but its also good to see you back too!πŸ˜„ Andy
  2. Welcome back Gregg, I've never commented on your updates but have always cruised through the photos. Almost a daily ritual too. So I hope all is well now and you are on the road to recovery! From a very appreciative ARCer Andy
  3. Damn... How did I miss this?πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ Thank you JackMan! Much appreciated Andy
  4. Welcome to ARC Alannah! I've looked previously for a 1/48 scale Brit pilot, my need was for a Harrier kit. There seems to be really nothing out there for my scale and yours. I ended up butchering a 1970's U.S pilot to get a close approximation for my kit. Lots of frankenstein type stuff, but I'm vaguely satisfied. If the recipient of your gift has no problem with accuracy, maybe check out http://reedoak.com. I'm not affiliated with them at all, but they are based out of France I think and have some amazing pilots that might satisfy your need! Andy
  5. Great to see the beast completed Bastian, and once again it was interesting to watch it all come together. Superb results on a jet that I miss seeing in the skies over Brisbane Andy
  6. Damn nice work! Well worth watching too Andy
  7. Damn, that's a hard thing when you've completed so much work into a project! I cannot offer anything useful, but If you're happy with the build itself, and it sounds like you are... There are quite a few talented modellers here that will suggest stripping it so that you can start the artwork again. Some of them strip paint from kits that are 20yrs old and start again. Their ideas might prove to be a solution! Put the P-51D aside for the moment, and wait for smarter folk to chime in! Best of luck Andy
  8. I liked your review Dave, and with an interest in getting this kit myself... I'll be watching for any updates too! Andy
  9. Damn... thats impressive! I know nothing of digital artwork, but it looks as though you could reach out and pick it up like a kit. Fantastic Andy
  10. I would have suggested the 3D stuff like Steve... But, that looks amazing. I've wanted to do a 1/48 Eagle for ages but wasn't sure which kit, so I'll be following along for sure! Andy
  11. Welcome, And a nice teaser too! I've never seen that colour scheme before Andy
  12. It's when you get older that we appreciate our parents sense of humour! That is fantastic, a great way to send off the family car πŸ˜„ Love the way your father tried to pry of the license plates in the heat of the day... priceless Andy
  13. ElectroSoldier, The fact that you looked is very much appreciated... frankly awesome!🀘🍻 I'll look for the footage, but I think it's going to be a little artistic license. Wish me luck! Andy Beers on me😁
  14. I promise I didn't borrow it!πŸ€”πŸ˜‰ At this point I think I've enough basic info that will hopefully convey the idea, and yes Electro, that photo is my main reference. Thank you all... I might even make it my first post in the Display if I'm happy with it! Andy
  15. Thanks Barkin, I've got the correct ones but would love to have gotten those above. What I didn't know was the shielding reason, so much appreciated! Andy 🍻
  16. Nebbor and Finn, thank you for the link and images! Very helpful indeed Andy
  17. After googling till I was crosseyed, that was the conclusion I had started to reach. Thanks Niels, much appreciated! Andy
  18. I've embarked on some foolishness... I'm trying to recreate the "look" of a salvo from a Harrier circa The Falklands War. Would any of you knowledgable ARCers have any idea about the sequence for a full salvo from a rocket pod? Is it a random firing sequence, or something more like a clockwise solution, or something else? Any ideas are welcome! Andy
  19. I'll add my thanks too for that link Holmes! Just wish that I could have been there in person Andy
  20. Finally seeing it off the work bench... and WOW!!! You've nailed it, fantastic finish to the beast Well done 🍻 Andy
  21. Haha, yep... eshays are everywhere. With the weather up here, it tends to be more about the storms that tear across Brisbane, the annual once in a hundred year etc hyperbole. I'm still dealing with insurance repairs to a bedroom after the February delugeπŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ. But, you'll have more blue cloudless days up here, to the point of it becoming boring. I've acclimatised to the point that I'll only notice the humidity when it thwarts my airbrush work. I cannot really help out in suggestions with any clubs, there a few scattered around Brissy, I've never really looked myself to be honest. It
  22. Ah yes... Brisbane. When arriving in the sunshine state make sure you wind back your watch one hour, and your life 50yrs! The sunny state for shady people... There are loads of these, some are closer to the truth than I would care to admit. But I'll admit, it was one of the better decisions in my life when I moved here. In regards to hobby shops, there are a few but I tend to frequent two in particular. Hobby One on the south side, and Hobbyrama on the north side. Hobby One has gradually down sized over the years and caters for RC mostly but has a fairly good inventory of paints
  23. Simply fantastic work at such a small scale! It's going to look brilliant. I hope you have a safe and hassle free move, did the same thing 20yrs ago from Sydney. Andy
