Lets take Sam Walton's retail model..... You scope out the competition, have more than they offer, and drop the price a few bucks. Then you throw in a sale or two.... That's is the reason they topped JCPenny, and Sears...... Last time I shopped Squadron...two years ago for Black Friday. Not a bad deal but I had to go in with someone to be able to afford enough to get the 50% off and the free shipping......spread out the love throughout the year.....and just not enough things available for me to buy. BTW, I have been comparing SB to the online market and I have been getting better deals f

Academy MH 60 S Helicopter 1/35 scale/
Liberator24 replied to Rotorman's topic in Helicopter Modeling
Oliver, You're tedious eye for the little detail in every piece is overwhelming. Can you give a little insight with a few pictures how you come up with the rod and bolts for the hinged assembly. What I am trying to ask, is can you show us how you create these small pieces. Stretched sprue (which is mind boggling, or you have some type of evergreen stock? I am just blow away at how a human being can create such small intricate detail in what seems such a small time. You truly are a creative artist. -Jim -
Incredible job! What did you use as a wash. It settled down beautifully. -Jim

Revell (ex-Fine Molds) 1/72 Millennium Falcon - how odd is this?
Liberator24 replied to Jennings's topic in Sci-Fi Modeling
Yep, mine was 160+/-. Stupid crap. Still don't know what the big mess was over Bandai and those kits. I am buying doubles from Japan to have one to build and one for collecting. Revell can keep their overpriced junk. -Jim -
Thanks Eric. Yeah, I have acquired quite a lot of AM for the kit including the Big Ed set, but for my first one, and, it being so closed up I will hang on to it a little longer. Thanks Jennings. That opened up a lot of possibilities! -Jim

Thanks for the inspiration. I am finishing mine up. Yours looks great! -JIm

Thanks!!! That's exactly what I'm looking for. -Jim

I got tons of WWII nose art with beautiful girls, in fact the new P-400 from Eduard just went on my wants list to the wife last night. I have three girls. They know what this artwork meant, they don't agree with it in the house, but they respect why their Dad will build them. I think this is personal choice. I would check the polls and if you have enough, I say do it! If you don't want to buy it then don't. I would buy one. -Jim
