What are the odds in an injection company producing
ElectroSoldier replied to Erik Bultz's topic in Jet Modeling
The chances are somewhere detween very very slim and none at all. for a start that market is very small, and a company who does make it would either have to produce it in coperation with another company or risk never seeing a return in proffit for a very long time, if at all -
Weird that one Jim A lot of the pictures I have of the F-4D while at Lakenheath have that triple "green" scheme. I also thought it was delibrate, but going by what you say the time frame for those pictures couldnt have been long... It looks like tha paint mixer dropped some acid thatday before he went to work and decided to liven things up a bit lol

You changed the goal posts now... Im not ti sure when the re-engineing started so Im not to sure wether a KC-135R will be right for mid 80's. My advice is to go for an ADC grey KC-135R. Get the Xtradecal sheet for the KC-135A and find a subject to model [sources can be found on an airliners.net search for KC-135R] and try and get one from a wing that is also provided in the extradecal sheet. The AMT sheet will do you no good as that only provides for a late SAC early ACC style paint scheme.

Not to sure but this might help http://ipmsstockholm.org/colorcharts/stuff...orcharts_fs.htm

In addition to that list on SE.com I remember a photo take during ODS that showed a load of 2x AIM-7's and 4x GBU-12's IT was said be be taken during the SCUD hunting missions, I think the arrangment was GBU-12's on the port side CCFT pylons and the AIM-7's on the starboard side lower CFT pylons

I thought the jets at Lakenheath had the rounded end type, and those early jets [bT, IS etc] had the straight to a point type. I seem to remember most F-15A kits having the pointed end type.
-
The only GBU-15/AGM-130 confugurations they have actually flown with are on that site. I dont see why it cant carry and fly a load like that, BUT I cant really see it being used. I mean what would it be used for? GBU-15/AGM-130 is usually employed against fixed hardened heavily fortified targets, while a Mk-20 is an anti armour weapon usually employed against armoured targets spread over a wide area. They are very diffent missions and very diffrence beasts.
-
Are they pointed ends or rounded ends? I believe the early jets used the pointed ends [F-15A] and the latter jets the rounded ones.

Sorry to ask what is probably a silly question but Why does the data link pod have a lens?

Neil where have you beeeeennn... Have you searched for "Paragon" on ebay lately? Seen how much some of your stuff goes for? Is this not proof that there is a market!

What would be some cool markings for the re-released B-52?
ElectroSoldier replied to Benner's topic in Jet Modeling
It was SALT II, START II was and is the program of B-52 destruction, and proof of destruction at AMARC. And the major differences between a early G and H were just the Engines and rear gun type. Later on while both types gained the EVS turrets, some of the G models gained the wing root modifications. Its possible without any great difficulty to make any G or H from the AMT kits, but you will need to know what type you want to build and from what time frame before you can fix on which kits you will need to use. The B-52H was at the time of ODS one of two types standing nuclear alert, the ot -

Yes, the LA tail coded B-52H's are a more common sight here than any other. Not to sure why though
