  1. Alright time to get back at it on this one. I'm finally settled into to our new house. I have a some what decent area set up as a workshop to build models. I'm going to have to push hard to get this one finished in time. I'm a notoriously slow builder, I don't know if I can get this thing done in the 27 days remaining. To make it even more challenging I have three boys, the youngest of whom is two, a wife who just started grad school, a new puppy, and a full time job that takes me away from home for half of the month. Who here doesn't have all of those things? If I can only keep my AMS
  2. I didn't realize that the G version was already released. I had heard speculation that HB would do the G. I was on Luckymodel because I was thinking about ordering the MiG-17. I looked at it last week and didn't notice the G Thud listed. When I was on the site today I noticed it. Ill watch Squadron to see when they get it.
  3. May be old news but it's new to me. Coming soon to a webstore near you, HobbyBoss F-105G. http://www.luckymodel.com/scale.aspx?item_no=HB-80333
  4. I'm hoping for a blk 30 kit, although a D kit would be nice. Afterburner keeps releasing all those great decals for blk 30 jets; it would be nice to not have to combine a 25/32 and a CJ kit, or order that extra sprue from Tamiya.
  5. Hey Ed, Just want to let you know I haven't forgot about posting pictures of my BraZ engines for the 757. I recently moved and I can't find my digital camera. Looks like you're doing a great job with the kit engines. Mark
  6. I put in for a 1/48 F-16C blk 30. I would much rather see that than a new Tomcat (let the flaming begin, I'm wearing my asbestos long underwear). We need a kit for all those great aftermarket decals. Then we all wouldn't have to buy the one sprue needed for the GE exhaust and the big mouth intake. Besides it would be easy for Tamiya to do as they already have the parts tooled.
  7. Looks great. Were you able to get the TD seat to fit in the cockpit tub? The one I had was too wide and required a lot of sanding to fit. The XF-52 looks just right for the preshade, especially under the white.
  8. I have this picture of the MER mounted on the centerline of the Skyhawk at the NASM in Washington DC.
  9. Ed, I'm on a trip right now, but I'll post some for you when I get home in a day or two. Mark
  10. Hey Ed, Sorry not to get back to you sooner. Yes the BraZ engines do have the correct angle. If I recall correctly the 757 had a slight up angle to the thrust line of the engine, but not what Minicraft produced with their kit. I tried to fix that on the Mincraft engines, botched it so that's why I went with the aftermarket ones. Unfrotunately you have to come up with some type of mounting system for the BraZ engines. I have yet to attach the engines to the wings of my kit (this project stalled out years ago), and I'm afraid it is going to require some filler. One of the advantages of th

    HB Mig 17

First the 105 cockpit, now the MiG-17! Harold you are the man! I'm looking forward to this one. Mark
  12. I believe the white aluminum was intended to replicate the BMF of Soviet aircraft.
  13. That kit is truely eye watering, jaw dropping, outstanding fantastic! The weathering is spot on. Nice job! Mark
  14. I recall reading some where that the foward windows on the S-3 were not tinted. Looking at it from the stand point of a pilot, tinitng the forward window would make carrier approaches a little more challenging than they already are, especially at night. From the pictures that were posted it appears that the forward windows do have a gold tint similiar to what the Prowler has.
  15. Make that two anxiously waiting buyers!
  16. Man sounds more like field dressing a deer. Keep up the good work on the Tomcat.
  17. That's it, I'm not buying one until they fix it.
  18. That would be St. Louis where that picture was taken. It is the TWAA terminal.
  19. Thanks. I'l have to wait until tomorrow until the post it on their site. Mark
  20. Did you happen to see this site? Not much but a couple of cockpit pictures http://www.mig17.com/index.htm Also here: http://www.ipmslondon.ca/old%20site/ipmslo...ticles/id2.html Mark
