vince14
This is the Display Case. To be eligable for a prize you must post your completed model in this thread. There's only a couple of rules; 1 - Please post between 2-5 pictures of your build. 2 - Please state the kit manufacturer, scale, aircraft type and operator in your post (e.g. Eduard 1/48 MiG-21 of the Ethiopian Air Force). Kingoalie
Here's my 1/144th Attack L-39 in Nigerian AF markings. EDIT. Since finishing this build, I decided to go back and add scratch built pitot tubes (?) to the wings, which are very prominent on the L-39. pauly boy
Nice job on all your aircraft! Very productive start to this group build! Do you have any specific books you use as refrerence material? I just picked up "Soviet and Russian Military aircraft in Africa" and I quite like it. Anything else you've got planned? Again, nice job on all. Paul

Nicolaas
Finally done! The decals gave me all my days! I made them myself and after 4 reprints I am happy with the results. I bought the springbok castles at a hobby shop in Johannesburg a few weeks ago. They are quite old but still looks good! Also did not add enough weight in the nose so she's a tail sitter :bandhead2:/> !

Johnopfor
Neall's Chariot.....Mi-24V Hind-E SL-202 of the Seirra Leone Air Force, as flown by Neall Ellis during contra-RUF operations, 2001. This is the Hobbyboss 1/72 scale kit with decals from the HobbyCraft "War on Terror" Hind kit. The pilot's door came from the Italeri kit after I modified the kit canopy and fuselage to display the pilot's door open. The door piston was scratch-built. The rear mounted flare dispenser box came from the Hasegawa Mi-24 Hind-E kit (it's actually a Hind-F, not an E). The flare box straps are pieces of painted tape.
