Trumpeter 1/32 F-8E Crusader pictures

Shrikes?

For that great Iron Hand Crusader

Wonder if that means the A-7 weapons sprue is included. I would have liked to see the 'winder rails on it since those are the iconic weapon for an F-8.

Now for Hobbyboss to scale it down (for those who want a Crusader with weapons)

Shrikes?

Yes, see it too. Interesting. Underwing pylons were seldom used on Navy planes, let alone shrikes. The pylons they could carry, not sure about the shrikes though. Maybe the F-8 was certified for shrikes, like the bullpup missile, but never really carried them. Either way, this kit is going to be a smash hit in the market I think.

I got Red x's as well for some of the pics , I right clicked the x , and from the pop up manu ,Select the Show Picture option - and they should appear

It looks like a great model , the intake and Canopy looks a lot better than the A-7's , Ok shrikes is an odd choice of weapons , however the pics make the kit look Very Tempting !

WOW! I have to say that I was a little worried that they were going to let the Mad Riveter loose on this one, but it "appears" restrained and not overdone. I'd like to see some topside pics, though. I'd like to see it in person first, but my hopes of having a 1/32 Gator could be resurrected.

i think they could have deffinatly detailed the avionix bay further, but its a good starting point.

Anyone know when this is likely to hit the shelves. anyone read japanese?

Hannants have them in their "future release" section, so it usually means it will be vailable within the next 3-4 months. No price yet though.

and theres going to be a J as well!

Thanks for the pics! Now for the nitpicking. Hopefully the flaps are separate since if the wing is up, the LE and TE flaps are down. Also, the windscreen center pane looks off to me (Trumpeter screwing up a windscreen - SHOCKING!). Better call Zactoman!

Oh man, I will have to buy one...ah maybe two of these. Very nicely done :P

Mike

The Trumpeter F-8E really looks like a very good kit. But about the intake, I have some concerns, as it looks too flat like it is the case with the A-7 sisters.

Greetings

Christian

Well, I wanted to be the first, but let me be the third....

:P "WAAAAAH! WAAAAAAAH! The _____________ (insert minor criticism here) isn't right! WAAAAAAAH! This kit is unbuildable!"

JK. I'm really excited about this one. Guess I better build those 4 Hasegawa 1/48 Crusaders I have so I don't have to feel guilty about getting this guy!
