  1. Lamborghini Cessna crash. http://carscoop.blogspot.com/2007/06/video...h-plane-on.html Brings tears to my eyes..... Steve B
  2. I'll do my best to post it on July 14......It is an AMAZING model!!! Steve B
  3. On a related note...... If you are drilling out the end of a resin gun barrel....it is best to cut the end off and glue a tiny plastic rod on the end and drill that out instead.....or glue a hollow tube from a hypodemic needle on the end. Steve B
  4. If I were the decision-maker in the US Government, I'd have new F-14 parts designed that would look and feel like the real parts but would have weaknesses in them to cause the planes to have critical failures while flying. Given the creative thinking in the past, I fully expect some bright bulb at the CIA thought of this years ago. The best route is to out-smart your enemy.....not out-fight your enemy. Steve B

Matt, I've removed the link to the last image as the text on the computer screen in the background of that image was inappropriate for ARC and it's readership that includes children. Steve B
  6. Thanks....she was pleased to see the completed article on ARC this morning. I will direct her to your post. It was a bit of a panic getting it done on time for her class presentation......but we got it done. It would be nice for a change for us to build a high quality kit without a deadline........instead of a so-so kit with a tight deadline. Steve B Amanda's Dad
  7. It's been a pleasure to follow this aircraft.....from it's recovery to it's latest flight. I have the book about it and enjoy looking at this book very much.. Steve B

    Review Articles

I welcome anyone to submit reviews etc to go on ARC. Steve B
  9. And of course there's always the old favourite of plain old white glue.....water based to make cleaning up any excess a quick and easy job. Plus it doesn't react with the plastic canopy.....and if you really need to remove the canopy....you can. I'd love to try the watch crystal cement one day. Steve B
  10. One of my more famous typos :D ......I've been seriously burning the midnight oil recently trying to complete the CD yearbooks for my kids classes. Thank goodness next year I'll only have to do one of these CD yearbooks. :D Steve B
  11. I got a kick out of seeing those Intruders.....I've got two in my kit stash....awaiting their turn on the workbench. Very nice indeed Jim....you did those models justice. Steve B
  12. Anthony....I've used a regular range hood as a spray booth without any problems. The amount of explosive fumes that come out of an airbrush and actually get sucked away and not aplied to the model are so small it is almost nil. And considering the fact rangehoods are designed for not exploding......the risk could be nil. Steve B
  13. Where's Waco when you need him? :) I must admit the video is pretty creative. <----- Klingon Smilie Steve B
  14. If you look in the ARC Gallery section under Hind....you'll find 2 models with this scheme hand painted on them by 2 different modellers. Now that's talent!!! Steve B
  15. 25....what do I win? I'd love to get my wife to take these tests.....but she avoids them like the plague. Steve B

I believe people do the following. Post a link directly to the webpage. The main issue Airliners.net has is they want their images to be viewed with their webpages.....this makes it possible for you to view the image with the advertising that supports their site. If people just link directly to the image...then the image is being downloaded....which costs money for their site but no advertising is being viewed or possibly clicked on which means not income being generated to support the site. Of course all the suggestions at airliners.net don't actually work on the ARC forums. Posting
  17. e-mail me at forumsupport@arcair.com with your request and I'll do the name change for ya' and you can keep all your posts etc intact. Steve B
  18. Nice selection of Jets Janman......nothing beat colourful schemes for eye appeal. Steve B
  19. Welcome....it is a pleasure and honour to have you among us. Steve B ARC Owner
  20. This forums is a good choice Eli. Adding more forums is not a good idea as I suspect this does impact the speed of the forums. Steve B
  21. The goal is 3 weeks but currently the wait is about 1 month. I suspect this will drop to 3 weeks in the summer as less models are submitted do to the nicer weather. Walkarounds take longer. I'm hoping to finish the overhaul of the walkaround section by the end of July. Once that is done the wait for walkarounds will drop way down. Articles not sent using the submission system can take longer. These would include multiple model articles dumped into one e-mail with all the pics mixed up. Articles like this require extra time/effort on my part and if time is limited, articles like this get
  22. I can't help but wonder if being a "compact stature" might be an advantage when fitting into a fighter cockpit. The A-4 cockpit I sat in at a museum in KC was more designed for young Anthony Wan than myself. And don't get me started about fitting into some sport cars. I can live with the fact I might not the best size for certain jet fighters (and probably a Bf-109)........but being almost too tall to fit into certain sports cars is frustrating. Maybe I'll shink in height as I grow older. Steve B
  23. I enjoy watching Grace Park......what's all this talk of a story line? I should pay attention to the show more it seems. :) Steve B
