  1. Brett, Yes. And there is even a USMC ace now. https://theaviationgeekclub.com/with-7-confirmed-houthi-drones-shot-down-this-usmc-av-8b-harrier-pilot-could-be-the-first-american-ace-since-the-vietnam-war-meet-usmc-captain-earl-ehrhart-v/amp/
  2. That's right Paul. AIM-120 on stbd rail, AIM-9M on port rail, two gas bags for loiter and the full complement of 30mm.
  3. @KursadA, I don't know if you have another AV-8B sheet planned, but the Marine Corps has a new ace. https://theaviationgeekclub.com/with-7-confirmed-houthi-drones-shot-down-this-usmc-av-8b-harrier-pilot-could-be-the-first-american-ace-since-the-vietnam-war-meet-usmc-captain-earl-ehrhart-v/amp/
  4. Hmm, apparently the FAA has still not certified the WARPs. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&opi=89978449&url=https://www.airandspaceforces.com/kc-46-wing-refueling-pods-lack-faa-approval/&ved=2ahUKEwi-ke6t46OEAxUTI0QIHR9kDRMQFnoECB0QAQ&usg=AOvVaw3SPrKO0SAtbkYuSUVMd3cy
  5. Especially when you consider that I use whatever reasonably close shade of medium to light gray rattle can is on sale at my local Lowe's or Homey Depot for either or both Airbus and Boeing model I am currently building.
  6. Just masterful bit of fade-shade painting there.
  7. At least it is not a Mach2 kit!
  8. Jost, I also noticed the non-standard "eyebrow" windows. Is this unique to the COBRA BALL? Hmm, after looking online, I see that they are indeed positioned correctly. Besides, if I remember correctly, they are molded that way through the upper fuselage. Nevermind. Nothing to see here.
  9. Just, I have to echo Steve's comment on the speed of manufacturing. I am intrigued by your technique of building, painting and decaling in major sub-assemblies. I am not sure that I could do that without some major issues at final assembly and possible re-paint. I am curious as to your rationale for using this method. I am astounded by your results. Carry on, good sir. Kind regards, Dutch
  10. Rick the two dark spots on the inside of each refueling door that appear to be holes are actually small spot lights to assist the boomer during night / low viz IFR ops.
  11. If you post a link, 2 or 3 baby seals are clubbed to death. You have been warned! ๐Ÿคจ All kidding aside, you can PM a member with the link offline.
  12. Most wanted 1/72 & 1/144 scale in no particular order are: CH/HH-3E/F Jolly Green Giant / Pelican HH-52A Seaguard S-92 Helibus / CH-148 Cyclone / VH-92 Patriot HH-43B/F Husky AH-56A Cheyenne
  13. Steve, absolutely beautiful work! Love the props! You just need to add some sound and dialogue! Head-up displays look terrific also. K/r, Dutch
  14. Agreed! Thank you! Do you have a number for the 1/72 general Markings sheet?
  15. @KursadA, I just came across this photo on the back cover of an AMC History about Tankers. Do you think that you can add the message to the tanker crew onto the tall tail sheet or possibly the B-52 general markings sheet? These black & white stripes seem to match the SIOP camo bird from ARC Light photo, from same book.
  16. Yup! B-61s, at least six per wing. What an odd staggered configuration. This BUFF is definitely headed into harm's way, but the hard way. Makes me wonder what the crew thought of the mission of dropping a dozen B-61s at several targets.
  17. Chris, I looked up the photo in the Sept 65 issue of NG that John54 included above and it is much wider and shows both #2 & #3 engine pods. It is definitely a B-52F. Are those B-61s hanging off the pylons or are they BLU-27 napalm canisters? Is that a HSAB attached to the AGM-28 main pylon? I will have to recheck my NG issue when I get home tonight.
  18. There goes another baby seal! ๐Ÿ™„
  19. Stupendous! I see Jimmy Stewart's Linebacker bird.
