  6. The first two 1/32 decal sheets from Exito are available for a while. This includes the set entitled “Sexy Spitfires”, which contains markings for three aircraft: - Spitfire LF Mk.Vb (EN921), coded YO-A of No. 401 Sqn RCAF, flown by F/O Jack Sheppard, Redhill / Staplehurst / Biggin Hill, UK, July-October 1943. - Spitfire LF Mk.VIII (MT841), coded U of No. 2 Sqn RIAF, Kohat, British India, spring 1946. - Spitfire LF Mk.IXe (TA864), coded LW-L of No. 318 (Gdanski) Sqn RAF, flown by P/O Zdzisław Uchwat, Risano near Udine, Italy, May-June 1945.
  7. Exito Decals celebrates the New Year with the release of two news sets available both in 1/48 and 1/72 scale. The decal set no.11 is entitled “Pacific Warriors vol.1” and includes markings for three US fighter aircraft operating in the PTO during World War II: - P-51D-25-NA, s/n 44-72640, coded ‘501’, flown by Capt. Evelyn Neff of 457th FS / 506th FG, Iwo Jima, late spring / summer 1945. - P-40N, s/n unknown, coded ‘47’ and named ‘Mary Lou’, flown by Lt. David R. Winternitz of 8th FS / 49th FG, New Guinea, after February 14, 1944. - P-38L-5-LO, s/n 44-26490, coded ‘E’ and named ‘Jean

  12. 13 listings in total, most of them from Japanese sellers as the recent re-release hardly reached other markets; half of them with price tags above 50$ - not sure if this can be described as overflow.
  13. The kit in the Hasegawa box is fairly difficult to get. There was a small batch released this year which seems to be already mostly sold iut, otherwise this version had not been available in the shops for years, some even speculated that the moulds had been damaged/destroyed.
