  1. Nice start on a beautiful but rare modelling theme
  2. Nice work. Just put the resin in hot water and bend them straight. It is very easy
  3. :jaw-dropping: I must have this kit. Amazing job well done
  4. I use them a lot and I like them. The lacquer are the best I have seen ever in their category... The acrylic are a bit tricky at first and you need retarder but the final result is excellent. The colors dry fast and they are very tough at handle unlike the Gunze series. I use the faded versions which are better in my eye. The acrylic can be thinned with water, windex, and aqueous hobby thinner from Gunze. I recommend retarder. They also have their own thinner if you want. You will need to thin them before airbrushing but only at about 15%. Generally it will need some time to get to use the
  5. Well done Andreas... Another great job from you :worship: :woot.gif:
  6. Most impressive like all your builds well done
  7. Go with AKKAN they are the exact match. http://www.hobbycolours.com/product_info.php?products_id=13632 Says item out of stock as a set but try each code seperate... The collors work as a beauty and they are very very tough and smooth
  8. Nice job Pano. Very good overall result
  9. I am building one right now and I have already put the AIRES cokpit in place. The fit is not so bad overall. With a litle effort you can put it in just fine. It fits much better than other kits that I have used. I reccomend that you try it. It is worth it all the way. Cheers Nikos
  10. Hummer32 your work is awesome. Thanks for the dimensions. What have you used for the net? I hope you will make an in progress topic to follow and learn.
  11. This is why I love ARC foruns :woot.gif: I must thank you all. All the answers were very helpfull. Foxtwo that is a very nice job. Keep it up. Greetings from Greece Nikos
  12. I had no problem what so ever. It took me about 5 min of sanding and dry fitting. I was impressed because I use AIRES a lot and this is not normal. Here is my WIP in a Greek forum. You can use google translate if you want. http://www.modelclub.gr/forums/index.php/topic,20825.0.html
  13. CVN-69 Eisenhower is my choice. Sorry I forgot to mention it.
  14. Hi all. I want to make a carrier dio in 1/48 with the hangar and the elevator part. Has anyone has any dimensions to start with? For example the elevator or the elevator door would come in handy. Thanks in advance.
  15. Kinetic and skunkworks are the same company. So the answer is YES....
  16. AKAN paints are very good and tough comparing to GUNZE. The colors are made from samples taken from real russian aircraft and are as close as possible. They have usually to tones for every color. One normal and one faded. I use them all the time and I am very happy. I buy them from http://www.hobbycolours.com/ I highly recomend them... Nick
  17. Hi Try here for some in progress articles in the Greek modelling forum http://www.modelclub.gr/forums/index.php/topic,4884.msg89176.html#msg89176 http://www.modelclub.gr/forums/index.php/topic,7710.msg162039.html#msg162039 Anything else you might need just ask Nikos
  18. Thank you all for your answers. The seperation on the panels is done with Flory models white dirt that was put inside the panel with a very fine brush after it was painted all black. Unfortunetely I am not very good photographer and the cokpit looks very clean but it is not. I did not want to get to much so I was gentle with the dirt. I hope that during the weekend I will have a lot of progress Regards Nikos
  19. Hi all. I have recently started the EA-6b in 1/48 from Kinetic (the old one). I have also purchased the Aires pit and some EDUARD PE. I will make a VAQ-132 bird with decals from two-bobs My progress so far is this: The AIRES cockpit (great detail and overall good fit). The front gear bay with PE added I know that I don't have the skills of many of you here but I think I am ok for my 9th model so far. Thanks for watching Greetings from sunny Greece Nikos
