  1. Yes they were! put me down in the keyhole and call me when the steaks are done!!.
  2. We got 691 from AD or a early AFRES unit that was closed down can't remember which unit. This was due to the robust when our unit went from 18 PAA to 24 PAA that lasted a few years, then after the realignment we shipped a bunch of jets to guard units. Heck we shipped a few to AD since I retired.
  3. Our unit really never trained with them. We had some load crew inert ones but I never saw one on our jets. Not saying its not a valid loadout as they were used a lot during Desert Storm.
  4. Jim from what I remember, the IIR models required more power and the LAU-88's couldn't handle the extra loads. There was a later (much later) TCTO for the LAU-88's to handle the updated missiles. I have a pic some where of some Mass and CT A-10A+'s carrying LAU-88's when they were deployed for OIF. The LAU's were on Station 3 and the LITENING pod was on Station 9. Of course I could be wrong about the power thing but I did see them used in OIF. BTW our unit never got rid of them, they were just stored as part of our WRSK kit.
  5. 2X AIM-9L/M on Sta 1 or 11 1 ALQ-131 or ALQ-119 (?) on opposite 1 or 11 either 3 AGM-65B or D on a LAU-88 or 1 AGM-65 B or D on a LAU-117 (Probably squadron choice as LAU-88's were not used a lot in the late 80's but would probably be used in a shooting war) B models on Sta's 3 or 9 and the D models opposite station Depending on the mission, threat and a bunch of other issues, parent mounted Mk-82's on 4,5, 7,8 PP pod
  6. Got mine the other day. GWH have out done themselves!!! I can't wait to start!! But I am going to finish what's on my bench 1st!!
  7. Thanks everyone! I think I have it now. I am going to use Alclad Gold titanium and then shoot dullcoat over it to knock down the metallic sheen. Thanks again everyone!
  8. Hey folks, looking at the instructions for the new 48th Flanker kit at the Hobby Search site. GWH has you paint the inside of the intakes FS33531 sand. Is this right???? Doesn't jive with anything I've read but there isn't that much on Su-27 intake colors 🙂 Can anyone confirm or deny this color callout? Thanks!
  9. Put Some AIM-9's in it. One of the original missions was to use it to shoot down Soviet AWACS. Just like Red Storm Rising.
  10. Has the New Kinetic F-16I been revamped in any way beside some weapon sprues and decals? How is the kit? I have the original Kinetic F-16AM and we all know about the nose and the overall heavy handiness of the moldings. Just wondering if things have been improved, Thanks!
  11. All dependent on the airframe, but TISEO on the port wing. ARN-101 hump. C/F dispenser on the inbd pylons although that was not "E" specific but just as a matter of what time your depicting. I'm sure theres some other things..
  12. I ordered something from ebay from a russian seller and it took a few days to get to the post office 16 Sep. Stayed in the local Post Office till the 22 Sep when it went through the big Moscow P.O. so now its on its way from russia to the US. Judging from a previous package it will take a week or so to get here and another week to get through US customs and to go from NYC to Baltimore. This is the least expensive tracked postage. I would definitely get tracked postage!!!!
  13. Does any body have good shot of the inside of a Su-27 intake? Especially showing the color demarcation lines? I have heard/read that its the underside color then turns to a natural metal area that has a yellowish colored clear coat over that natural metal area. Hard to find a good pic.
  14. A much easier and better paint to airbrush with that has far finer pigments and just lays down easier. Its not that much more that Model Master.
  15. Thread Hijack Alert!! What is a good reference book on the SU-27 from a modelers point of view? Similar to a Detail & Scale Showing wheel wells cockpits and other items modelers care about? I have the Yefim Gordon volume. But while thats a great history book it isn't the best from a modelers point of view. Thanks in advance!
  16. Is there any way we can get a closer /higher res images of the five schemes that are included? I know there were some images from the show last week but they were kinda small. Thanks in advance!
  17. How close are we to release? Also do you anticipate any shipping issues due to pandemic? Looking forward to this kit!
  18. Thanks!! I forgot about that I have a few on the stash shelf!
  19. Just as the title suggests, does anyone make 48th scale Falcon launchers for a F-4? Bought the Meng A/A missile set and they are pretty nice and it might make a interesting switch from AIM-9s for the upcoming ZM F-4E
