  1. A thought about mixing: I'm not an ordie, but I think you can rig a Snakeye so that it won't open up, Right? So you could possibly carry a mix on a single pylon (as in photo above) without considering the different ballistics, maybe?
  2. It's not the "wrong" scale, it's just not your scale.πŸ™‚
  3. I had 'em a long time. Barracudacast came out with a set as well, and they are still available.
  4. Well, this THREAD is about the MiG-19, but the FORUM is about communication. And since you are in communication with the Clear Prop, would you please say a good word for those of us who would like to see a new E-1B that was announced several years ago. THANKS!
  5. Any sprue shots of the 1/72 scale E-1B Tracer yet?😈

  7. Where's mudamned E-1 Tracer???!!!😠
  8. Sort of a "seeking forgivness is easier than obtaining permission" kinduva thing.
  9. I've only had a couple of occasions to go to the Caracal reference pages, and both times I found nothing. Kursad, I know you have good intentions but something is not working at your end. Can you clarify?
  10. I don't recall Whirlybird doing the X-5 as most of their stuff is, well, whirlybirds. However, Maintrack did a rudimentary resin X-5 back in the '80s. It came with both extended and swept-back wing sets and decals.
  11. Hmm. I've got one out of five at home.☺️
  12. The Tamiya X-1 is best, but there's not many out there of any brand anymore it seems. It's originally a Hobby Spot kit that Tamiya took over. The X-15 from MPM/Special Hobby may have better detail and decals, but it is pretty hard to find. Monogram's kit is an easier build, but the decals on every issue of it are poor.
  13. My latest is this 1/72 scale Monogram B-1B Lancer - "The Bone" - with markings from the Caracal sheet. I used Barracudacals resin nose and tail refinements and old Cutting Edge featherless exhausts. The Sniper pod came from a Hasegawa weapons set and the pylon was carved from styrene stock.
  14. Here's my 1/72 scale Hasegawa B-47E with markings from that wonderful Caracal sheet. This aircraft, according to the sheet directions, shouldn't have the SAC and unit badges, but I didn't let that stop me! I like color and used the ones included in the sheet for another Stratojet that had 'em. I liked the full anti-flash white bottom on this B-47.
  15. Yum (that is when it is in 1/72 scale)!😊
  16. I like the "scale eye-level" perspective, too!
  17. As well as the long-promised 1/72 scale C-17 Globemaster III.πŸ™
  18. I think most of the "bulge" is on the bottom of the aircraft. I noticed on all the 1/72 scale renditions that the flat, semicircular ramps on the fuselage in front of the intakes are missing. I notice that more than the "bulge."
  19. The gun pack is included in the 1/72 scale Meng F-106A kit.
  20. OK, that's the issue that Italeri had previously kitted in Revell boxing. I finished mine:
  21. Do you know which version? There's the straight tail, cranked tail, one with the hot-dog floats . . . ?
  22. Don't know if you are considering it, but this was one of the most attractive gray Scorpions. I found a picture in the Aerofax monograph on the F-89. Then there is this shot in the grave yard. It's a Minnesota ANG J model. I made my 1/72 Revell kit with tiny white stars from a really old Microscale sheet that had markings for wargaming armor. The tiny Minnesota lettering under the horizontal stabs came from a railroad lettering decal sheet. The modeler will have to do the red-white-blue tail and tank scheme with paint.
