  1. Wow, 275+ parts. Excellent collection of weapons. While you're pressing for more info, how about finding when the projected release date is.
  2. Maybe you should. I was in the neighborhood of my LHS today so I stopped in looking for a Hobbyboss F-105. There wasn't on in stock, but since you're working on a replacement cockpit, I asked the proprietor to order me a -105.
  3. Ah! A SHARP pod, but of course. I had forgot about that. I think that's the first time I have noticed one mounted on a jet. Thanks John.
  4. Saw this picture of a VFA-2 Super Hornet over on Navy.mil and noticed something different on the centerline pylon. Here's the picture. http://www.navy.mil/management/photodb/pho...N-7981E-504.jpg Is this a new recee pod the Navy is using? I was wondering what they were doing for BDA and the like since the TARPS went away with the Tomcat. Mark
  5. Does anybody know why CC has stopped accepting orders? There were a couple of items I as going to order from him, but I was waiting until I got settled in to a new house. Mark
  6. Man those are some great subjects. I wish I did more 1/72nd. I would be interested in seeing both Intruder markings out in 1/48th and the F-105F also done in quarter scale. Mark
  7. Tyler, I agree with you regarding Hasegawa's decals. Generally they are junk. Why do you think I have three sheets of these decals in the spare box. :P Their whites aren't always white and I question if they are opaque enough. Good luck with painting white and adding the NSAWC. I think that's the better way to go. If that doesn't work you know you're welcome to the spares if you need them. Mark
  8. Tyler, Great job with the camo paint job. The model looks outstanding. I have three sheets of those decals from the very same kit that I don't plan to use. You'd be welcome to one. The only catch is that they are in a storage contianer as I am between residences. I had hoped to find a new home by now, but have not had any luck finding one so I don't know if I'll be unpacking anytime soon. It is up to you how long you might want to wait. If you can't figure out a solution, you know this one is always there. Mark
  9. Wow. Nice work on the painting. Looks great. I'm looking forward to seeing this one finished. Regarding the depressions on the tires. The aircraft I flew last weekend had one tire with such a depression on it, albeit it was on an MD-80 not an F-105, but my guess is it serves the same purpose. It was as Pablo 189 said, it had the manufacture date of the tire stamped there. My guess is that HB was trying to do the same thing with their kit wheels to add that little extra "detail". Although the depth is too deep on the kit tire. On the real tire the depth couldn't have been more than
  10. Oh yeah! You better get all your ducks in a row before that little one arrives. Once that baby is born there is little time for anything else, especially that first year. Sleep becomes a premium. I know, I have three boys ranging in ages from 8 yrs to 2 yrs. Congratulations on the upcoming addition to your family. Mark
  11. Doug, I'll definately wait for your BP. Glad to hear thatt you'll be doing one. I purchased a couple items from you and the quality is top notch. It's worth waiting for your release. Mark
  12. Do you care to elaborate what is wrong with the nose shape. I have been looking at pictures from my "Thud" book and to me the nose looks okay. When I see picutes of this build up it looks like an F-105D to me. BTW, Stephen nice job so far on the kit. Can't wait to see more progress.
  13. I can't believe I'm the first to guess this, but I'm guessing it is VFA-103 First Combat Cruise.
  14. There is nothing "wrong" with these releases. As Terry said they just don't have special decals. Since you are planning to use aftermarket decals anyway, I would get the cheaper kit. You can always use the $$ you save and buy an aftermarket cockpit. B) Mark
  15. How's the pay? You really are a pilot...
  16. David, Draw decals make a set of window decals for the 767-300 in both 1/200 and 1/144 for the four door, two over wing exit configuration. I have a set. They look good but haven't used them yet so I can't say how well they work. http://www.drawdecal.com/typesearch.htm
  17. jwest, Do you have any "In Progress" pictures of your F-105 that you would care to share? I'd like to see them if you have them. Thanks for posting the preview pictures of the kit earlier. Mark
  18. This project is currently on indefinate hold. I just got my house under contract to sell and need to be out by the end of July. We're not sure where we are moving to after that date, but I hope to have some place soon and be back up building. Mark
  19. Same here. I'm sure they will release the Hummer as a seperate kit at some point. They reecently released the staff car that was packaged with the P-51D as a stand alone model. I bet their inventory of F-117 has been a little stagnent and they are doing this to boost sales of the kit. I'd give it at least six months or more before we see the Hummer released by itself.
  20. Glad to know that. I recently picked up the Wolfpack wing fold. I'll probably save it for a future project, but yours looks great installed.
  21. Excellent. Well I'll be anxious to hear your impressions of the kit when you guys receive it. I did look at Lucky Model. Even with shipping, their price is almost half of what Squadron is selling them for. I may have to order with them if I decide to get one.
  22. Your work looks great. Is the cockpit OOB except for the seats? The wing fold looks good too. How was that to install?
