July... or later... All good things come to those who wait. I have more than enough to keep me busy until then.

It's nice to know that he has a quick turn around time. I've been holding off ordering some wheels from him. I guess it is about time I got around to it. Thanks for the info. Mark

Call Tamiya customer service at 1 800 TAMIYA-A (That's 1 800 826 4922 for those of you in Loma Linda)

Man I must be lucky. I have three kits (two block 50 and one block 25/32) and none of them have the "flaw" in the canopy.

One word-- Gorgeous! Mark -
The Super Hornet flaps look good, will be looking for those to be released. Can't wait for the refueling pod.

Try navy.mil. Here's links to a couple. Go to the media section and do a search for AIM-9X. http://www.navy.mil/management/photodb/pho...N-6516T-050.jpg http://www.navy.mil/management/photodb/pho...N-9742R-079.jpg

Mr. Disolved Putty, hmm.. I've heard of the stuff but never tried it. How does it differ from Mr Surfacer? -
The purists will be quick to point out all the flaws of this kit. To me it looks pretty much like a Vigilante to me when it is done.

Nice job on the cockpit so far. -
Cockpit looks good. I'll be watching this one.

I don't think the wing stiffeners would really work in vinyl, unless they were done as multiple sections. Then getting them all lined up perfectly would be challenging. I'll take some too! Thanks Mark
-
Scott, Beautiful job on that tow bar. I'll be watching for the article on how you built these. Mark
-
Outstanding effort. It turned out great! Mark

I saw that too. It was the first thing I looked for when I opened the box. Still haven't found them on the decal sheet. I'm not sure if I'll get the PE set. I guess you could always use that as a templete to cut your own from vinyl or sheet styrene so you have multiple sets.. Mark

Congrats to all who finished and to all who won something. Thanks to the hosts and sponsors for a great group build. I had a lot of fun participating. Just wish I could have finished mine! Mark

I for one am anxious to see this kit. I'm sure lacking any alternitive for a two seat Skyhawk will purchase one. If sales are good it may motivate hasegawa to release their Scooter in a two seat version. Regarding the recent increase in prices of kits from Japan, some of that has to do with the falling value of the dollar versus the yen in the past year.

Lots of great ideas to choose from but from what I've seen I like this the best. Only thing that I would say regarding a logo featuring the Tomcat is that Darren offers a lot of products for other aircraft too.
-
Yeah, I'd say that paint scheme might keep you a little busy with all the maskiing. It's a beauty. Mark
-
Outstanding! Makes my eyes water. Mark

Sounds like a great idea. I would be up for it. 2009 sounds like a good time frame. Would "what if's" be allowed? Mark
