You and Mason already have all the stuff for RAAF 9 Sqn in Vietnam. -
F-14A of VF-1 - which low-viz paint scheme on this one?
AndrewPerren replied to Anders_Isaksson's topic in Jet Modeling
Hi Anders, I have the same sheet. The instructions actually do state all airframes overall Lt Gull grey. Look in the stencil placement area. -

Great news Chris. Are there any other missing lumpy bits for the exterior that we might need ?

Great going Darren. Assume your update sets will also include the TCS pod as well.

Well I've been slack posting progress but this one is essentially done. My impression of the kit is mixed, there are some great improvements on the previous offerings but there are some curious oddities as well. For my taste the detail is maybe TOO FINE, It looks great but when it comes to putting a wash in good luck. I don't lay on much paint at all but I still had to run a scriber in all the panel lines after paint and before clear gloss otherwise I would have lost them completely. Because of the base and stand it's a bugger to photograph so apologies for the crappy phone pics for now -
Yippee Ki-ay ! If it's as it looks a single and twin in the one box with all the right lumps and bumps this will be great.

Top marks all round. Your work is clean and well executed in all areas.

Italeri looking for ideas for new tool kits

All in 1/48. AW 139 MRH90 / NH90 Puma HC3 Super Puma / Cougar Email sent. -
Nice save with the wingtip. The splitter plate supports are on the etch parts Sprue but as you've already found out aren't mentioned on the instructions. Your way is probably better anyway. Fwiw I left them off mine altogether but don't tell anyone.

Kitty Hawk 1/48th scale Huey
AndrewPerren replied to Floyd S. Werner, Jr.'s topic in Helicopter Modeling
Well everything is sounding really good so far. Kitty hawk have been on a learning curve , they seem to be improving so we will see. I'm not a 1/35 modeller generally but I can see a couple of these heading my way. -

Kitty Hawk 1/48th scale Huey

Hey Floyd - great news on the Huey. I wonder if you would consider on the decal sheet options for 9 Sqn RAAF in Vietnam ?? -
Give me a sharp & well defined panel line any day. If you are worried about the Mig 31's panel lines being overdone then I think you are in the minority. They are beautiful. Most of my modelling mates and me just want a panel line that they don't have to worry about losing or deepening just to hold a wash. You referred to the Kinetic Hornet, well I'm building one right now and the panel lines are a leap forward for them but still borderline for overall ease of finish.

We met in the late eighties whilst playing Indoor Cricket ( big in Oz in the 80's & 90's). I also used to umpire a couple of nights a week for extra cash and regularly got ladies games she was playing in. Anyway after a couple of years of chasing each other around we married in '93. We will be "celebrating" 23 years of mutual tolerance this year.

Wow. I know this is a build up for the convention and is clean etc. But there sure does look like a lot of potential for folks to go to town should they want to. Pre-ordered mine at Lucky.
