those are great shots! i went sunday, and took about 1200 pictures. first airshow for me actually trying to take pictures of the planes flying, and was trickier than i imagined. i did get video though of the f/a-18 breaking the sound barrier as it did a fly-by.

I went both days. I spent Saturday at the actual show and took some pics blew a bunch of money buying stuff. Then Sunday I went to "The Hill" to watch the show. I had heard about "The Hill" so I tried it out for myself. I must tell you that it was amazing watching the show from a hill that over looks the airport. At times jets flew by that were actually at an lower altitude than you were. It was awesome and I think I'll be visiting "The Hill" for the second day of the show from now on.

The line up included a B-25, FG-1D Corsair, P-51, P-38, A-10, Ah-1, C-130, CH-46, 2X EA-6B, AC-47, Connie, Martin 404, DC-3, , T-6, Shawn Tucker, Tim Weber, and some others including a Fed X plane and planes from the local flight school. I'll post a few pics also in a couple of days.

It was a really fun show. I've got to say, though, that I just about upchucked when the T'birds pilots did a photo shoot with the new AF inductees. They were all standing in a line in front of the inductees, and just before the picture was taken, they...I kid you not...took off there sunglasses with a stupid grin on their face and kneeled down....IN SEQUENCE ONE AFTER THE OTHER! It was quite possibly the stupidest thing I've ever seen. Of course, I didn't realize they were going to do the reverse when they stood up. So I got to see TWO of the stupidest things ever in a span of about a minute. It's no wonder I like the Blues better.

Havent seen the blues for years! Thats a sweet pick John, like I said before...really gonna miss the Eagle demo team!

Trust me, if the SH broke the barrier...it would be amazing because:

1: There would have been massive complaints already filed because of it.

2: They usually retard the throttles at .85 mach, or so, IIRC.

I thought the show was one of the best flying show we have had here in KC. I was down there every day with my works light sport aircraft. It was a bast! As for the F-18 I would have to say they did go thrue the SB. The hole aircraft did not! Part of the aircraft I would say did go thrue. All I have to say is the F-18 showed everyone up like normal.

I've got to disagree with the F-18 demo. When I first saw it a few years ago, it was pretty pathetic. They stayed way out from the crowd and really didn't do anything that spectacular. In the years since then, I've heard that the SH demo has gotten much better, so I was really excited to see it. I was underwhelmed, to say the least. He did one high speed pass. He spent most of his time out on the perimeter of the airfield setting up for this next pass. It was also very short before he joined up with the F4U for the Heritage Flight. He then did a moderate speed pass from behind, but that was it. The F-15 demo, on the other hand, (and it pains me to say this since I'm a NavAir fan) was far superior to the SH demo. They need to add the high speed knife edge pass along the crowd line to the SH demo. That's a show stealer! The guys who flew the SH demo, on the other hand, were a blast to hang out with.

Gotta agree Darren, the F-15 was the best thing that flew in the whole show.
