f12aaa
The cockpit is ready. I have lost time learning to use the new digital camera, what do you think about the quality of the pics? Too dark? The HUD is not installed yet (and the Aires cockpit lacks of it) to avoid damages before to glue the windscreen.

VFA-103guy
Looking good!! However you won't need to install the HUD on this one. The HUD for the B didn't show up until around 2003.

Brian P: Fightertown Decals
Looking great! I love the look of the cockpit, especially with the VF-24 helmets and patches. Coolest. Tomcat. Squadron. Ever... -brian
jimz66
That cockpit is coming along very nicely. Can't wait to see this one built up. Looking good so far.

Chorse6
That cockpit is coming along very nicely. Can't wait to see this one built up. Looking good so far. Cripes! "Nicely" is an understatement! The cockpit is gorgeous. I'm overwhelmed by feelings of incompetence and inadequacy. Look forward to seeing the finished product. Think I know the guy who did the artwork on the orginal bird. Youngtiger1
Wow, Thief of Baghdad....oh yeah baby!! I've always love your work f12aaa but I've got a quick question, don't those pilots look big for those ejection seats? Mike

I've always love your work f12aaa but I've got a quick question, don't those pilots look big for those ejection seats? Mike Yes Mike, they are oversized a bit. It's always the same issue with the pilots figures: undersized or oversized Simone
f12aaa
Painting finally started!
Jack-Swiss
Great dude!!! Great to see that you started painting it!!! I would like to paint it too LOL LOL... Cheers my friend
twhite80
This thing is looking mighty fine! I can't wait to see the final paint scheme!
f12aaa
Base and preshading done. I'll paint the grey parts firstly but I have some doubts about the sand/brown part on the lower fuselage. According Twobobs decals sheet the aircraft is fully gray there but checking the few pics available seems that the sand/brown is at least on the main landing gear doors also. f12aaa
Grey parts painted, now a long masking session and still have to find a proper mix for the sand color
twhite80
Looks really good. That "navy wear" look is tough but you definitely have it down. Keep it up!
f12aaa
First shade of sand painted. I was a bit worried about this color but I'm enough satisfied now, what do you think guys?
gb_madcat_sl
The pre-shade looks a little to stark compared to the sand. One thing I've learnt trying to a desert camo is to use dark brown as a pre-shade instead of black. Mark
Jack-Swiss
Dude,I think it's awesome....afterall it's only the first layer and not definitive so all will be covered well in the end!!! can't wait for the next painting stages!!! Cheers :)
agelos2005
WWO! amazing...just tone down the pre shading but i think after all the colors, washes and weathering would look amazing
