  1. Tell you what, even though this thing is nearing completion, I'll be first in line to purchase this sheet when it's ready. Shouldn't be too hard to add that emblem to the tail after the fact Any rough guess on an estimated release time period?
  2. ...how'd you guess???? 😄 Actually, the screen grab above is the same aircraft I posted above in AMARC (#803)
  3. Thanks Ben, if anyone would know, it would fall under your expertise If you can't find anything, no worries....in 1/72, might be able to pull off something acceptable with a fine brush 🙂
  4. Long shot, I'm guessing not. But does this yellow bird emblem on the tail (New Mexico ANG) appear on any 1/72 sheet? Asking because I know it was done in 48th.
  5. And now, for something completely different. From 1957's "Jet Pilot". Definitely not John Wayne's best film, but nice aerial photography. T-33's became "Yak-12's"; they made a decent effort, with tanks removed and a unique paint scheme. If only they had added red stars (heresy!!)!! Wolfpack boxing of the Platz kit. As per the film, the front seat had no headrest, and the rear seat had its headrest curiously painted over with interior green. Only difficulty was the "2". Out of all my sheets of numbers and letters, nothing was even close. The one I finally
  6. Thank you! Good question...the answer is my ignorance! I wasn't sure if they were truly visible, or buried deep inside the fuselage. Every walkaround I found must have had them removed for display, because I did check. I know the Mirage F.1 fairly well but not the Mirage III, on which the Kfir is based, so I really did not know....
  7. WOW!!! Have always LOVED this bird, am really glad to learn more about it with this!
  8. Finished a "Movie MiG". Iron Eagle (1986) Kfir C2 masquerading as a "MiG-23" of the "Bilyan AF". Hasegawa 1/72 Kfir C2. Seems like almost all the Kfir aftermarket is for the AMK kit, which apparently is almost impossible to find. I came to a sad conclusion: seems to me that the aftermarket producers made vastly more items for the AMK kit than actual AMK kits were produced in the first place. Meanwhile there are countless Hasegawa Kfirs about with very little designed just for them. So, I made do. - Fictional insignia were masked and sprayed. Did my best to make
  9. Would I be correct in assuming that F-84F 52-6984 would have originally had a green cockpit, based on its number?
  10. Wondering if the majority of the huge red stripe warning markings on this Kfir in the movie Iron Eagle are overpainted, or just hard to see at this angle/distance? I see the long angled rearward pointing arrows and the brake outlines, but not sure about anything else. https://impdb.fandom.com/wiki/Iron_Eagle_II?file=IEII_Kfir_8.jpg
  11. Wow, I was far off! I can blame my confusion on some instructions I'd got which wanted green for a BMF bird. Thanks for clearing that up!
