  1. I am trying to find pictures of 479th Tac Ftr Wing F-104D's. I tried Google but did not find anything useful. Does anyone know if there are pics of 479th Tac Ftr Wing F-104D's online? I can't find any. I am looking for planes that are not painted in SEA camo. Natural metal only. (1960-63) Thanks. Scott CNJC-IPMS
  2. Thanks John for the help. You really came through!!! Scott CNJC-IPMS
  3. Thanks John for your help! Scott CNJC-IPMS
  4. Does anyone here manage their model clubs website? If you do then helping out managing a forums should not be that hard. It just takes time. The (free) tools to make a forum are all online now. Do a Google search for "Create free forums online" and you will see lots of sites that will do the "heavy" lifting. I think I saw many forum hosting plans under $50/month. You also will have a small fee for the domain name as well. Creating a forum online is not hard. It's just that managing it takes (24/7) dedication. What we should do is to contact Brett at HS or Mi
  5. What happens if Steve's credit card payments for the hosting/domain name expire/stop? I think he has it on autopay now. Scott CNJC-IPMS
  6. Mostly the parts I mentioned. Speed brakes, canopy and intake size (To try and fit a intake cover made for the Has. kit) Scott CNJC-IPMS
  7. Would those "incorrect dimensions" affect the size of the intakes or the size of the speed brakes or the canopy? Thanks. Scott CNJC-IPMS
  8. I was wondering if there are any parts in the Hasegawa F-104 kits that are interchangeable (can be used in) the Kinetic kit? Most of the parts look similar in layout and size and might fit the Kinetic kit.. Has anyone tried using parts from the Has in the Kinetic? Scott CNJC-IPMS
  9. Ok, I did a small test using just plain water. I tried.... 4 drops water. 4 drops paint. Worked good. Flowed smoothly through the AB at 21psi. No problems. Laid down smooth as well. Then I tried... 2 drops water. 4 drops paint. Same results as before, no change. So it looks like you can use plain water to thin. So now I don't have to buy another bottle of thinner. I have too many as is. Scott CNJC-IPMS
  10. I am using Hataka Acrylic (red line) paint for the first time. I only have one bottle for a specific plane (F-35). I need to know what to thin it with. It seems to be a little thick out of the airbrush (21psi). I currently have these 3 thinners on my bench. Model Master Acryl Thinner Can I use any of these thinners, or perhaps water, to thin Hataka Acrylics? I don't want to buy another thinner just for Hataka. I would like to use what thinners I have. Maybe they will work? Scott CNJC-IPMS
  11. I have a 8oz bottle of Iwata Media airbrush cleaner with the black "flip" top. The black "flip" top does not do a very good job and I end up spilling too much of the contents on my bench instead of the airbrush cup. I think these bottles used to have a twist, dropper cap (Pic below) on them years ago, but changed to the "flip" the cap (Pic above). I am looking for a twist, dropper bottle cap that will fit this bottle. I'm not really sure what kind of cap will fit though. Do they sell twist caps like this on Ebay/Amazon that will fit the threads on my Iwata bottle?
  12. I was looking on SB for the 1/48 Eduard F-35A mask set, but it is OOS. Then I saw the ASK mask set: ASK F-35 Mask set It looks like they are made from the same material as the Eduard ones. And I think they are pre-cut(?). Has anyone used a masking set form ASK? Never heard of them before. I would think they would work the same as the Eduard, for the same price..($9.99) Scott CNJC-IPMS
  13. I know this is an old topic, but I noticed that most of the pics on the first two pages don't show for me. I don't know if RichardL still has them? Do the pics not show for anyone else? Scott CNJC-IPMS
  14. I'm curious... How do I find a compressor that is below .5cfm? I see compressors that are .8cfm...? Scott CNJC-IPMS
  15. THANK YOU hahu2! You answered my question perfectly! Now I know that I should look into a different compressor.... Thanks everyone for your help! Scott CNJC-IPMS
