  19. Thanks guys for looking and the kind comments that all of you have said. David Walker, The reason we have a blade with a white tip is because the blade came off a former Huey from Fort Rucker. The training Hueys that the Army flew at Fort Rucker had the white tips on both blades so other pilots could see aircraft below them when landing and doing stage field work. We have a blade that was on one of those hueys and that is why the tip is painted white. We did not repaint the blade for weight and balance issues with the blade. Brock
  20. Thanks guys for looking at the finished project and all the kind comments. The paint I used was testors flat olive in enamel. I painted the model and realized it looked a little dark to me so I let it bake in the sun for a couple of days. I do not know if it really lightend it up any but the shade turned out ok. I do believe I will be doing a Flat Iron bird for my next Huey. Thanks for looking, Brock
  21. Thanks guys for all the kind comments!!!! The kit was not bad all. If you are going to build a current H model you have got to buy AM parts for wire strikes because the kit strikes are way to big. The profile of the Huey is great with a few panels that are not scribed where they are suppose to be and of course you will have to sand down the rivets a bit. Overall this is not a bad kit and I will build another one in the future. The paint looks shiny because it is shiny on the real aircraft. The real aircraft was painted and then a coat of semi gloss applied. Thank you for taking time and loo
  22. more pics thanks for looking. Brock
