Hey fella's looking for some generic information on Tomcat.... I have some questions for planning some future projects. Here you go. 1. Is there a list somewhere of when squadrons updated? IE from and A to a B or a A to a D or in the case of VF-11 and VF-211 when they backdated? I know at one point that VF-11 flew all three versions while VF-211 went from A to B then back to A, etc. 2. Is there a list somewhere of when squadrons and WHAT squadrons became LANTIRN and bomb capable? I was hoping at some point to do a VF-21 jet with LANTIRN but I don't think they ever used it? S3. Someone indic

Just a quick update. I am going to work on this a little each Day I can. I just got the major pieces cut between late last night and this morning. No pics of yet as my desk is a royal mess. I have to take a final exam on Thursday so I won't be able to work on that till after then. UGGH ALGEBRA I cant wait for it to be over. I had a slight hiccup when cutting the side panels as one of them broke in half but that is no biggie as it broke where the middle of the pit is so I wont see it anyway. Anyhow thats it for now. Next step will be to work on assembling the little bits. I wont do that till Th

While I don't have the kit yet. I have three things so far, well four actually. I have two sets of either Eagle Strike or Aeromaster decals I can't remember. One is from VMFA something or other it is the Silver Eagles I think. Might be a Bicentennial scheme but I can't remember. The other is one from VF-41. NOt sure which I am going to do yet. Today I got two things in the post from the USM. I got an Aires cockpit and a set of Wing pylons from Aero someone. SO giving that my money is tight from month to month I thought that getting the pit was more important to do first so I can work on that

How long does it normally take for a new cockpit to come out once the kit is released? Just curious I got my kitty from HB the other day and the cockpit is okay FAR better the Hasegawa but not really what I was hoping for. Can anyone offer me a timeframe as to when we might see pits and engines for the B and D versions? If they are not out already are they not going to be?

Sad story of my only connection to the 747. I have never flown on one and more then likely never will. Anyhow, there used to be on that came into Bradley outside of Hartford every Wednesday. My Wings and Wheels club meets in West Springfield MA the first Wednesday of each month. One year I was driving past the airport and saw the one I mentioned above.
