I thought it would be cool to see what's on everyone's plates.

Kits I'd like start:

1. 1/48 Arii Hellcat

2. Italeri 1/48 Sea Hurricane

3. Special Hobby 1/48 Fulmar

4. Revell 1/48 B-25J gun nose conversion to PBJ-1 gun nose

5. Trumpeter 1/48 MiG-23MF

WIPs I need to finish:

1. Hobby Boss 1/48 FJ-4 Fury -- needs new canopy and weathering

2. Academy 1/48 MiG-29 -- stalled in painting

3. Monogram 1/48 Hawker Typhoon -- painting

4. Hobby Boss 1/48 UH-1C -- scratch building conversion to UH-1E

Cool idea, it is neat to see what people are up to!!!

For me I just finished a 1/48 Monogram AV-8B Harrier II VMA-223, and just started a 1/48 Hasegawa F-16C (CA ANG 144th FW CO).

My queue after that is:

1. 1/48 Italeri AH-1W Super Cobra (my first Helo!)

2. 1/48 Italeri F-14A Iranian Tomcat Asia Mino camo (in-flight)

3. 1/48 Revell F-15E Strike Eagle Alaska Air Command

4. 1/48 Monogram OA-4M Skyhawk TBD markings (in-flight)

5. 1/48 Monogram Mi-24 Hind TBD markings

6. 1/48 Academy Su-27 Flanker Russian AF

7. 1/48 Hasegawa F-4J Phantom II VF-142 (in-flight)

8. 1/48 Hasegawa A-7E VA-15 Hi-Viz

9. 1/48 AMT ES-3A Shadow TBD markings (in-flight)

10. 1/48 Revell F/A-18E Super Hornet VFA-14 (in-flight)

11. 1/48 Hasegawa F-14A VF-84 Lo-Viz (finally ready to start my first Hasegawa F-14 I think!)

12. 1/48 Tamiya F-16CJ TBD markings

I actually have my build order planned for every kit I have in my stash on an excel spreadsheet. Like over 100 total. Does that make me weird (well, weirder than I already am, LOL) or is that somewhat normal?

Eighty-Four, yes, that spreadsheet makes you weird.

I have over 200 in my own.

And I have a notebook with a project sheet for each of them, I take it with me to shows and shops, it helps me to know what I still have to buy for the builds. There's no sense in me starting a model with 8 Napes on it, if I run out of them before I start that one.

In Work:

1/48 Monogram/Koster B-24 to PB4Y-1 conversion.

Awaiting Maintenance (i.e. need to finish...):

1/144 FLY C-9B

1/48 Monogram Me-109E

Commission/Volunteer Builds To Do:

1/72 Esoteric/Naval Aviation Factory Vought SBU-1 Corsair

1/72 Hasegawa ES-3A Shadow.

Boy...when you write it all down ,it sure seems like a lot to get done :(

Well that validates my suspicions. LOL

That is a good idea about taking a printout when going to shops and shows... I will have to remember that!

All in 1:72 scale, my in-progress build are:

Italeri RAH-66

Hasegawa X-29

Hasegawa F-20 (all three for the test birds GB)

Blacksnakes Viper (Hasegawa F-16C with Microscale decals)

Fujimi A-4E VC-1 (leftover from the Skyhawks GB)

I really want to get these off the bench so I can start one of the following, using a bunch of aftermarket goodies (haven't decided which yet):

Italeri Jaguar GR.1

Academy F/A-18C NSAWC in-flight (Fightertown decals)

Revell Tornado GR.1

or a Hasegawa F-16I

Shelf of Doom has the Italeri UH-1C I stashed away from the Vietnam GB. This one will be an on-again, off-again project I think.

Welp

Off top of my head in progress builds.

1/48 Spitfire MkVIII - current GB.

1/24 Mercedes RW 196 - body painted that's about it.

1/24 Alfa Romeo type 158 - sanding, dry fitting, some assembly done.

1/144 B-17 - painted, mostly decaled, is crap.

1/12 Tyrrell 003 - haven't touched in about 3 years. Maybe 40% complete.

Up next after these will probably be some more GB subjects. Have the Heavies GB starting in September and also the Strike GB.

I left out what I am working on. All are 1/72.

some Skyhawks (big surprise)

Phantoms (another big surprise)

there's a Hellcat in the waiting for paint booth, next to the actual paint booth

next up is hard to decide, I have 3 Tigercats that I want to do at once, but, I need two more items before I start those.

If I don't decide on anything by the time the bench is down to just one model, I'll probably just start a few more Skyhawks and Phantoms,,,,,,,,I have so many of those to do that it doesn't matter when I do one, it will hardly make a dent in the planned collection.

This thread should get tons of responses; after all, most folks enjoy the chance to talk about themselves! :D

Close to the end:

-Meng 1/72 F-102, Vermont ANG (my birth state)

-'78 Dodge Monaco, Rosco P Coltrane's sheriff's car, Dukes of Hazzard (see the Auto section In-Progress)

After that I'm ashamed at how many I've got in-progress and neglected (all aircraft are 1/72):

-F-105F, from the Trumpeter G version, as a mid-war Weasel

-2006 Mustang super modified as the "Death Race" killing machine

-'69 Dodge Charger, the General Lee. Tons of scratch building. Been working on and off for about 6 yrs on that one.

-1/700 USS Maryland diorama, Pearl Harbor aftermath with the capsized USS Oklahoma next to it

-1/48 X-Wing diorama, Red Leader preparing to depart for the Death Star assault

-I-16 Type 10 (modified ICM Type 24), ski-equipped

-F-8C, Academy. Been sitting for almost 10 years waiting for me to finish the paint work and start the markings.

-F-4D, Hasegawa, Vietnam

I need to finish my 22" Eagle transporter test shot in time for Wonderfest. I am very close, but had to take a break from it or risk burnout (not because of the kit, but due to how long it was taking and other issues I am dealing with in my life right now).

Just started:

Dragon 1/144 TR-1A, building it as a NASA ER-2 for the Test planes group build (should be a nice quickie project)

Plan to start:

AZ Models AH-1G Cobra (not sure which version, probably NASA)

Trumpeter 1/48(ish) T-38C NASA (they give you 90% of what is needed to do a proper T-38N, even if the scale is a little off).

DeAgostini 1/43 Millennium Falcon. I've got 14 months worth of parts, enough to hit critical mass to start and (hopefully) finish when the last part arrives early next year.

I also need to build a second MPC 22" Eagle Transporter kit with altered details for a project which I can't discuss at this time. It needs to be finished by mid-January 2017.

That's what I have on my current plate anyway. Other projects will likely get filtered in as wants and desires change though. They always do.

In-progress:

1/48 HB F4F-3S. Todo: maybe some minor paint fixes, clear-coat, decals, final assembly

1/48 Fantastic Plastic X-37B: Todo: masking and painting heat tiles, clear coat, decals, final assembly

2x 1/144 C-47: Roden (yay!) with Minicraft skis and decals; Minicraft (ugh) with Welsh Models' lovely C-47C floats and decals. Todo: just starting; scraping plastic on Minicraft wings to get them to actually join. Roden wings just fell together.

1/48 Revell AD-5 (A-1E) with Cobra Co cockpit and Caracal decals for Los Alamitos bird: Todo: Wing rescribe after removing "wing fold" hinges; everything else.

On Deck:

1/48 Aeroplast Mi-2 with Yahu IP

1/144 Pit-Road Vulcan B.2 with Fundekals decals

I have my hobby inventory on Google Docs. I maintain it on my home system and always have it at-hand on my phone or tablet. Very nice!

Three or four of you brought up excel sheets, so I am floating this idea:

I may start an online spread sheet that all members can contribute to. Each Person gets a page that lists their kits, conversion kits, status of these kits (including finished kits), including details such as scale, markings, links to pictures, etc.

This will be an excellent way to feel who has what, follow certain trends, follow builds and finally it will be a way to make trade and sale offers :D

Hmmmm. Here's me

Italeri UH-1n conversion to a CH-146 Griffon based at KAF. (Details and final painting to go)

Kinetic E-2c Hawkeye (main assembly done, time for paint prep)

Trumpeter Mig-23mld (assembled, waiting on nose replacement that was not in box)

Hasegawa Spitfire Mk-IX (painted but needs to be redone because too much peeled after taking the masking off)

In the midst of all this I also assembled a Revell F-18F and its ready for some seam cleanup and sanding.

One of these will be done soon

Not planning to start anymore until the Ground Pounders GB (or whatever the proper name is) later this year when I'll do a Wild Weasel Phantom and a Strike Eagle.

Great topic;

Currently building a Hasegawa 1/48 F-4E with After Burner Decals for a 4th TFW plane. I guess I am weird that I only do one at a time.

Recently completed:

Hasegawa 1/48 F-4D with Speed Hunter Decals for a 906th TFG plane,

Hasegawa 1/48 F-4B converted to a RF-4B with paragon nose, Big Ed, rescribed and Super Scale decals for a VMFP-3 plane

Hasegawa 1/48 RF-4B in VMCJ-1 markings from Impact Decals (kind of on a Phantom binge)

In queue: 250+

Geoff
