Nice! Always great to see a kit built with good scratch-building and no multi$$ resim/PE set Arnaud

Great work, especially on the exhausts, they look fantastic and certainly not 1/72! Arnaud -
Their Nimitz kits are by far the best carriers in 1/700, the Kiev is not as good but still a good starting base. The misouri (Although I did not build this one yet, just looked at the sprues) is great too. All are miles ahead of the Italeri/Revell kits in that scale, which are 20/30 years old. Add a Gold Medal Modelfret and you have a winner :) (I'm not related to them in any way but their PE sets are just beautiful) The only downside is the decal sheets and I would strongly advise you to get after-market decals, either from GMM again or from Starfighter Decals Good luck, Arnaud

Great work so far Rob, sorry I missed the beginning of the build. You definitely chose the steep path to improve your scratch building skills and the result is well worth it. I hope you enjoy it, I certainly enjoy watching :) Arnaud

Truly beautiful model and pictures! How did you make the propeller "spin" on the pictures? Arnaud

Should be very easy to fix! Where did you find your pilot?

Thanks for the encouragements guys! As I moved from the UK to Austria over the summer all my modelling projects are now on hold . I am now building a new workbench though and I hope to resume work on the models by the end of the month :) Arnaud

Thanks for the explanations and well done for removing the blue from the decals then! There are decals provided for the LANTIRN (I'm buidling this kit at the moment, hence my interest!) but they might not be correct regarding the pod number. Arnaud

Beautiful paint work, I really love the subtle camo and the sharp blue add-ons, looks great thanks for sharing the pain numbers too! Arnaud

Very nice work Naza , which kit did you use for the Tomcat? I like how your blue paint matches exactly the decals, what brand/colour did you use? Arnaud PS Why did you not apply any stencil on the LANTIRN?

Great work Daniel, I especially like the pilots helmets and of course the weathering. Arnaud

1/48 USN Carrier Deck with Jet Blast Defector (Skunk Models)

Hum, just after I spent weeks working on a scratch-built 1/72 catapult it would be rather frustrating if they do it in that scale  but definitely easier :) -
Apart from the DACO book you cab find quite a few pictures of the Vulcan through Google, especially from the Tomcat displayed on the Hornet. This airframe has the doors replaced with clear parts so the entire gun is visible. If you look for "M-61" vulcan tomcat on Google on Bing you should find some interesting stuff, it's what I did when I built mine (although it was 1/72 so the requirements for details were not as high ;)) My build (not perfect, just to give you an idea) and finished here Good luck, Arnaud

Hello Brian, I hope you have now fully recovered from your accident. I am still most interested in a few 1/72 kits, would you still have these available? E-2C 2000 $25 F-14D VF-213 last cruise$20 F-14D VF-31 last cruise $20 F/A-18F $10 As I told you in my emails shipping would be to South Carolina. Many thanks, Arnaud

Very nice and clean build so far, I like it :) Do you plan on making a diorama with it? Arnaud

Very nice so far! Which weapons will it carry? Keep it up, Arnaud
