  1. I wish everyone conducted business the way Sprue Brothers does. They are outstanding. Fast, 100% correct shipments - what else could one want? The only time I don't order from them is if I need something NOW and they are out of stock, which doesn't happen that often! Don
  2. Yes, go to a museum. That got me going - oh, and my credit card as well. We are both back into modeling again! Don
  3. Devilleader501 - I tried your idea and it worked like a charm. Years ago I used to put down a shiney gloss coat and all my decals went down perfectly. Now I just can't seem to duplicate what I did for year, 13+ years ago. I appreciate the help. Back in the silverless game again! Don
  4. I have tried using Future straight from the bottle, but I do not get a nice, glossy finish. In fact, I get at the most a semi-gloss. What air pressure are you Future users using? I have tried high and low pressure, but still about the same results. I am trying to get a nice, glossy coat on for decals. Thanks for any help. Don
  5. I have power, but on the way home tonight, a large section of the roadway lights and businesses was out. I believe we have 17,000+ out in the county right now. You are right. This was not a huge storm. However it did pack a punch. My street looks like the trees got into a fight with a large cat and LOST! Cable is out. :( Don
  6. Well this is cool! If they can just get beef, the rest of pork and chicken moved into the vegetable rankings, I'll become a vegetarian! Don
  7. "Heard some disturbing news about this crash today..unofficial. I am not going to say exactly what was told to me but its not good. It is what it seems." Seriously? What the?
  8. I would like to see the island saved. The problem is it weighs well over 500 tons and is hard to move after removal very easily. It would be a nice tribute. Don
  9. Of course they should. If they can do the job, by all means. This is America, 2013, not 1954. I didn't raise a daughter to think she was only good enough for 90% of opportunities. I raised her to believe she could choose from 100%. She served as well for eight years. Don
  10. Yep, and if you scrape the possum off the road in less than 20 minutes, it's still good. Most Virginians use their cars to deer hunt. Bloodies up the meat too much. I'll stick to steer, pig and chicken. LOL!I found a great place for all of the above 1 minute out my door at work. Yum. Don
  11. Jennings, no one moves to Virginia for the food! LOL! Don
  12. I have a set in my office. I have no idea what the value is. Do you also have the book that goes with it? Don
  13. With TENAX, I always use a paint brush sized for the job at hand. I used to buy Drumhead years ago which was very similar to TENAX, and it came with a built-in brush. However, the brush was OK for some tasks, and WAY oversized for others. Don
  14. Life is too damned short. Emjoy EVERY second of it. Sorry for your loss. Don
  15. Here is a site that explains the whole Weasel program and what the G model could be configured with. Yes, it could carry Sidewinders. Weasel Don
  16. Thanks for that info, Ken. I first used Drumhead for years, many years ago. Then Tenax. Guess I'll try the Same Stuff. Again, I appreciate the feedback. Don
  17. I just wrote to one supplier and asked. I'll post what comes back. Don
  18. I have checked every mail-order facility I use, and everyone of them is OUT OF STOCK, with some saying DISCONTINUED. Anyone know for sure? Like Bill, I just bought some at the LHS, but I need to look for something else if it is gone. I guess many of us will! Don
  19. My question is how does it work with darker colors? Is it that noticable on let's say olive drab? Don
  20. This is just like Microsoft! Build it first and then sell it for beta testing!!! :) Don
  21. Hi, all. I just found this site - maybe you know of it already, but I found it very interesting. Enjoy! Side View Pics Don
  22. First off, modelers can justify ANYTHING. So, the way I justify it is two-fold. First, the quality now is the best it has ever been, in most cases. Therefore, one must repurchase planes bought many years ago that suffered in the detail department. Secondly, the subjects available now are more than there were several years ago. Got to have 'em! There used to be a third part, but I don't do it anymore. I will list it though. I had to be the first one in the club to have the newly released models, sometimes before the hobbyshops got them. I outgrew that one. That one is WAY TOO EXPENSIVE to keep
