  1. Looks great, just catching up again and the cockpit and nose detail is excellent 🏆
  2. Olli, Either area is ok to post your builds. Critique Corner is if you want any constructive feedback on your models (good and bad). The Display case is to show your work without expecting that sort of feedback.
  3. Nice, work Zac, first time I have seen this one modelled. The aircraft sat in one of our hangars at 34SQN for some time before being moved to the AWM annex, eventually sold in the US as it had no actual RAAF service.
  4. Not sure how the images are posted/hosted but all I can see are some dead links to them. Built this kit about 20 years ago and am curious to see how yours turns out.
  5. Looks good BIllos, I had the same issue. thought the axles were OK and found they damage easily. I pinned mine once they broke
  6. I suspect with a little tweaking they would fit, As I recall both kits have small pin holes to locate the engines. If you already have both kits then you could use kit engines and swap them over to look for fit issues
  7. Looks good, I did not bother with all the prop decals, maybe on the next one 😄
  8. Looks good Billos, nicely progressing This is how much nose weight I put in mine! Also, here is a link to my build album if you are interested https://flic.kr/s/aHsmthwUYC
  9. Nice! I had to use an aftermarket sheet (which is now OOP) for mine, I plan to do a Malaysian one as my next attempt. Are you going to do any updates? The kit is a base prototype and I added a few sensors to the wingtips on mine.
  10. There is limited aftermarket for the Hasegawa 747 kits. If you search this forum there is a flap set available which is expensive. some one was adding it to their 747 build. For the cabin windows you could fill them and use aftermarket window decals. Draw Decal do door and window sets for various airliners in 1/200 and other scales. You could also fill them with clear resin or clear cement. Draw decal also offer a corogard set as well, though I am not sure if it is required on AF1 The Hasegawa kit goes together very easily with good parts fits all around, I built a couple about 20
  11. Good to hear you are getting on with one of these beasts Billos, what markings do you intend to add to yours?
  12. I ordered a couple of KC-135 sheets and forgot about the mailing issue sending here. I am happy to wait.
  13. Ah! Some progress. Great! I started an old mould Airifx kit a couple of months ago, it stalled as I too was in the middle of a move. I think once I get it back out of the box I will try some of those cockpit mods.
  14. Nice start, it is great to see someone with hands on knowledge of these beasts fixing the kit issues. I have one of the AMT kits in my stash and will take you mods on board when having a go at it. Thanks for sharing. 🏆 Just a nice to have in future posts, it would be easier to follow your work if you have the fix description with the image rahter than a slab of text and then a bunch of images tacked on the end.
  15. Nice to see some progress the walls look thin enough to me. 😄
  16. Looks great, lighting sets it off nicely 🏆
  17. Unfortunately Alps is no longer with us, I have heard of other printers that print white (you replace the black cartridge with a white one one some of these) but they are very expensive. I am sure you will sort it out. BTW, what part of Suomi are you from? My parents emigrated to Australia from Heinola, having an interest in Finnish civil and military aviation for a while now. My civil builds include a Finnair A350 and Finnair cargo 737 so far, MD80 and MD-11 to do next.
  18. Looking good Tervo, good to see you got through the decaling even with your troubles.
  19. Chatter on Zvezda FB page suggest no other versions will be released. So time for the AM guys to step up. As for the original question, I have done a couple of J-30 conversions from the Italeri kit, I don't have access to the models at the moment as they are on a truck in a removal. Here are some pictures of my mods, the plugs you need to remove are 35mm forward of the wing and 28 mm aft of it.
  20. According to Scalemates it is the Hasegawa kit.
