Started to test fit some of the BAM Models parts. First observations…..parts are excellent quality and they fit very well. First thing I did was install the new GPS antenna just aft of the air break.

Fellow Plastic Munchers…..Starting a new project today, converting a GWH F-15 Echo to an F-15 EX! Purchased BAM Models F-15EX conversion, along with some Quickboost Seats, Phase Hanger seamless gun fairing and their pylon set. I also purchased the BAM wheel set, it’s not pictured, because it’s on its way from France!

Just ordered the wheels to complete everything that I need to start my EX!

The detail from these 3-D printers is awesome. I just test fitted the IP comings and they fit very well! And I test fitted the GE nozzles and they are dead on…..perfect fit! I will be traveling for work next week, but I’m going to move this project to the front burner. The only thing I’m going to have to come up with are a bunch of AIM-120’s!

I’m very impressed with the level of detail in the set!

Hey Guys, just received my EX conversion from BAM Models and I have to tell you it’s one of the best sets I’ve seen in a long time. Going to make a great looking F-15EX! I will be doing a build for Kingsley Field with their fin flash since they will be the first unit receiving the new jets! I will be using the GWH F-15E as my base and the only thing I will need, I think, are new wheels! Will be working with some people on the ground at Kingsley for the tail number and any other questions that pop up! should be a fun build!

Just ordered the entire set for the EX and I’m really looking forward to working with it

I ordered the BAM Models conversion set for the SG, and the set is excellent! As soon as the EX set is available I will be ordering a couple of them!

Yep my bad Sir! I just saw the front glare shield on your page....looks good! It also looks like there are some changes to the rear glare shield too! Are you seeing that as well? Are you going to change the IP for the EX as well?

I stand corrected it is for the SG, but I spoke with Arnaud and he says that the conversion is good to go for an EX with the exception of the front IP, but you would have to use, in my case either the GHW F-15E or I because of the conformal fuel pallets!

BAM Models has a conversion set out for Academy, Revelle and GWH F-15’s. I just received my set and I can tell you the only thing that is missing that I can see is the wheels. They seem to be different from the E model wheels. The BAM set is excellent and I’m going to use a GWH F-15I to convert to an EX with Oregon Air Guard Markings since they will be the first unit to receive the new EX!

Sorry I did t mention it, but 1/48 scale

MiG makes a really good liquid mask. Never had It lift any paint, use it a lot for canopy painting. FWIW

Does anyone know what version of wheels that the EX will be using? I’ll be using the GWH F-15 E with the BAM Models EX conversion for the main kit, but I’ve read that the wheels in the kit are wrong, so aftermarket would be the way to go.....just not sure which ones. Any hep would be greatly appreciated! Brad
