  1. I bought the new Su-27SM at my LHS and Stevens international has a huge listing of Zvezda kits available. I guess eh slow boat from Russia hasn't made it to the US yet.
  2. The good thing with the IKEA type display cases they have so many options that you can add later
  3. Dave, Thanks for finding the little error and showing it to the proper people. Raymond thanks for taking the information and correcting the part in question.
  4. CAP-9's and BDU-33's are boring!!! :monkeydance:
  5. yes it did, as lond as the target was designated by another source. Also if the target was illuminated it would give the pilot a aiming point on his/her HUD.
  6. The manufacture didn't raise the price the distributor did. It is not a big deal but I remember Martin saying he wanted all the distributors to have the same price, so we as consumers would be able to get the same price where ever we shopped. If I'm wrong I apologize.
  7. Yeah kind of I seem to remember you were trying to get all the wholesalers to list it as the same price as the BM kit. If I'm wrong please accept my apologies..
  8. anybody seen the new Zvezda MiG-29 in the states yet?
  9. Hey Martin, FYI Stevens International is listing The B,B/BS at $3.00 more than the BM/BSM.
  10. Would you happen to know the S/N's or have a picture of the ex- Egyptian MiG-21MF's Thanks in advance!!
  11. Has the B/BS kit been released to distributors?
  12. But it is a Hydraulic test stand? Didja ever notice as soon as you had new boots or clean utilities you had to run a mule or "Jenny' and unwind drag them friggin dirty fool hoses! Never happens when you have your yucky uniform on!
  13. Is that a "mule" Hydraulic test stand?
  14. Thanks!!! for releasing this big MiG!. Any chance we can see some pics of the updated parts? Thanks again!!!
  15. FYI Theu usually do the FCF (Functional Check Flight) at depot before they paint the A/C and after its been repaired/overhauled. That where you would see a F-4 nekkid :=)! If you recall when the Thunderbirds chose the F-4E it was determined that the A/C with its many different hues of metal would look kinda ugly with out paint, so they decided to paint the A/C gloss white and tehn apply the Tbird markings, thus creating the best looking F-4 ever!
  16. Wow! sounds impressive!! looking forward to seeing it!!!
  17. Has it been announced what will be provided as external stores? Not just bombs and missiles, but what about different bomb racks, sensors, etc.. Also how is the kit progressing towards release? Thanks in advance!!
  18. I should have said I have heard that HB had fixed a lot of the nose shape erros. I do not actually own a HB kit, but looking at some builds it does look like some work was done.
  19. The Monogram A-10 is the way to go if you want shape accuracy. However please be advised even with the Black Box cockpit you can only do a relatively early A-10 as the cockpit air conditioning ducts were moved from the side of teh cockpit wall to under the instrument panel. The Hobby Boss kit is easier to assemble. But the Hobby boss kit has some of teh DNA of teh 32nd scle kit and teh nose area proportions on that kit are way bad. But The HB kit corrected most of those problem areas, but siome still exist I've been told. If you can get teh Shaun Hill A-10 update set that will help you a bu
  20. Well here's a photo of a AIM-4 I have in my basement.
  21. AS you said the blue indicates "inert" and it can be the stripe or the whole munition. In my experience, the OD bombs that had the blue stripes were usually used for load crew training and usually had a inert fuze in the nose ( and tail) whereas the overall blue bombs (with a plastic cap on the nose and no fuze) were loaded and dropped form our aircraft. This is what I saw in 31 years in the ANG but I'm sure there will be exceptions to this. We also had both over all blue AGM-65's for our load crew to train with and white/grey/OD with blue striped AGM-65's The one thing that was constant
  22. With the upcoming release of the AMK MiG-31B/BS. I was googling some images of the R-40 missile and I was wondering if there is a rhyme and a reason that certain missiles have white wings and others have natural metal" wings? I've notice that the main body of the missile is colored about the same on all that I have seen. Is one with the metal wings a later version? or was it just a change and now the wings are unpainted? Just curious...
  23. How about a Delta landing!I seem to remember them doing this with the F-4 I think its in the movie "Threshold"
